![]() | Invitro woodlovers- cactus soil/coir
Has anyone done it yet? Because, I just heard from a foaf that he opened a tub of subaeruginosa that have been incubating at 22deg c for about 6 months.. and in a mix of cactus soil and coir, he has 2 little shrooms reaching to the sky. How can this happen? Barely any light.. so warm.. im quite surprised. Surely, this would be a good sample to clone? I'l buy him some new batteries for his camera, and get some evidence. |

I had some azures spawn last year that was forgot about in the back of a closet. It was found around thanksgiving and had a fruit the size of a number 2 pencil, with the cap the size of the eraser on the pencil. So it's not impossible to fruit in doors it's just unlikely. |

I've never seen true invitro wood lovers, (in a glass jar or bag) But this suprise Friscosa popped up in an enclosed tub. It can definitely happen.

I was looking thru some old photos, and found this one. Pseudo-invitro.

Beautiful. Here is a report from Jochen Gartz. They have grown Psilocybe cyanescens in the lab on a rice cake! 1.jpg http://www.museocivico.rovereto.tn.i...rt11_gartz.pdf |

Thanks for posting the links. Woodlovers are really fascinating. I predict a great future for the yet quite unknown Psilocybe subaeruginascens. I am working with it since a few months. It's the most aggressive woodlover I know. The following pics were shot within 3 days. 3.jpg 1.jpg 2.jpg |

Foaf simply bleached a random mix of coir and cactus soil. Mixed it till it 'felt right', and then threw a few colonised woodchips into the mix. It colonised poorly, but seemed to make a nice environment to hold moisture and humidity. |

Here's some progress. They had a days worth of indirect light through a window. 2-3 days back in the incubator and there's another dozen or so pins. Would it be useful to apply casing to the tub? How can I make sure some of these lil guys mature, or should I just keep neglecting them? |
