I noticed that the main stem on her was beginning to get a lil purple. I've seen this with other plants and it usually means they are lacking or need a little more P from the N-P-K. Phosphorus. Since it's used for root growth and stems a lot, and we want nice roots on her for spice production, I figured, why not give her a shot of some Canna PK 13/14. I think it was 6ml per gallon and gave her a lil shot. Stems are beginning to become less purple now. More pics soon.

Got it taking over the back yard and does quite well off it. He's also come up with an innovative method of harvesting. I think that this species is definately of interest to those interested in self-sufficiency.

Most of the tiny leaves are falling off now and it looks like it's getting ready for winter.

Being moved as is in it's pot/container to the new igloo location. Updates eventually...
