They're highly psychoactive On par with cyans and azures. This is a very elusive species. Auweia and I have both found wild patches, I'm sure we're not the only two, but they are quite rare. Here's some cultivation photos, I originally thought they were azures. http://forums.mycotopia.net/exotic-m...zurescens.html

They are closely related to Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata, says The Spore Works :: Spores for Microscopy :: Psilocybin-Genera Spores (Major and Minor) :: Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata : Bethany Strain So could I just mimic your out door wood lover bin, and grow them out side if my climate happens to be similar to where they grow naturally?

In CA they fruit around the same time as P. cyanescens and P. cyanofriscosa. December and January. Temps are in the 40s and 50s at night with lots of rain. They're fairly easy to cultivate, with a little tender loving care.

There's more info on Psilocybe subaeruginascens in this thread. http://forums.mycotopia.net/wild-mus...light=friscosa (SEM of Ps. cyanescens and Ps. cyanofriscosa)
