Wow space this is a true inspiration .I've got this exact strain on the way and can't wait to start working with it.I'm thinking of building a replica of your chamber to use as well except I may throw a tropic air or two in because it'll be considerably bigger.Nice work man and keep it coming.I've only glanced over it so far so I'm about to go back through it now.Might have a few questions for ya if you don't mind. Thanks for sharing

I don't really know,I think as many as with Cubies. But I do not go beyond flush two myself, because only of few shrooms popup with later flushes, and I don't think that it is worth the time. But that counts for Cubies too imo. Sometimes, there aren't really any flushes,it just popups a couple of shrooms everyday or so. And can keep doing this for days/weeks. Btw. I harvested the other two trays...total of 60 grams wet. A pretty good harvest, just in time for my vacation !

![]() ![]() oh yes, they blue. it can be harder to see or a slightly different color because of the natural pigment of the mushroom.. but they do indeed

VEry nice flushes, Spacecake! So it looks like your new grow room got an A in the Pan exam as well! ![]() I think that the current heatwave will give you a fast and good second flush too! BTW, are the Sandose cambodgiensis a bit fatter than 'straight' cambodgiensis. Or is it just yours that are fat? :-)

Yep,the Pans sure like the new growroom. And the heatwave sure helps...,I think the temperature at my attic does rise as far as 30oC or maybe more. Your right about the size of this substrain...they can get rather big. Shrooms up to 2-6 grams each, with stems so tick, you can easily take away the skin to take inner samples for clones. But if conditions are not good, they stay very smal and pale ,like in the first pictures on page 1.

Update.... Harvested the second flush... There wasn't any waiting time between the two flushes. It started right again after I gave the two trays an 8 hour dunk. The tray that had the best 1 st flush now had the smallest. Total weight of the 4 trays +- 90 grams wet. So this makes flush1+2 a total of 250 grams (25 doses) ![]() ![]()

This one, Sandoze... Big shrooms, nice flushes, very clean and spiritual. All in all just aboud the perfect strain/specie. I think some Pans are more visual, but also feel a little 'darker' or just not have that spiritual feeling I get from these ones.

Thanks P4ulada... My intension was, to compare the grow of a fresh print VS an old print. The result was that the tray of the fresh print got overlayed. This was only a one time experiment,so not really science... If your afraid of overlay, then just remember to not use any nutriance in the casing layer,I do it here, but not always with great succes. (The well known cactus mix works very well, nutriance low) After this experiment I stopped using compost in my casing layers(with Pan grows) and got better flushes. But long before this..some time ago I began to ad compost to the casing layer, because I got better results doing this... Now I know a little bit better when to use it and when not to. But the Pans still hold alot of secrets, and I'm still far way from getting the good flushes over and over again. But I think the more we all post our results and failures, the more we can experiment and come to a good(or best) way to grow Pans.(like we do with cubies).

I think the cactus mix works better, I´ll mix it to vermiculit and coir, thus it´ll be a lot more less nutritive, besides...vermiculite gives a good aeration and "water reserve" (rez-effect). I think it´s good because I read a lot of growlogs (of Brazil growers) wich the argument of failure was: the Pan´s mycelium is more fragile than the cubensis mycelium, so when the cake of pans was crumbled and cased, the fragile mycelium did not recover himself (sic, gramatical error? sorry =/). And about the secrets...we go discovering reading our growlogs and doing good experiences like your ![]() Now, I´m not afraid hehe | |
