Is that caption accurate? Looks like the plain seed alone is doing better than the hpoo. I would have expected to see better growth with the additional nutes. Cheers

It felt kind of weird to see a strain I'd never heard of before. Then I realized that almost nobody had. So yeah, info, please?

Another picture. This time just threw a casing layer into the Pf tek type jar and was impressed with the fruiting. I have to ask why don't more people grow shrooms like this as the flush is far better than any flush i have ever seen from from any Pf tek cake i have ever fruited the pf tek way. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Donated to us several years ago by an amateur mycologist in Australia, this strain originates in the Illawarra escarpment near the city of Wollongong. If you're tired of new strains which are nothing but 'just another cub', the Wolly's will be a pleasant surprise. With it's golden stalk and spotted cap, this strain from Down Under is definitely something to behold....crikey, mate! You've heard of 'Golden Tops' from Down Under, these are 'Golden Everything'. This strain has a unique characteristic, a creamy gold colour of the spotted cap, stalk and meat which is unlike any cubensis strain currently on the market. Many strains will have streaks of yellow on a basically white stalk, the Wolly stalks are completely gold coloured. The pic above certainly doesn't do the strain justice! The Illawarra escarpment is the mountain range west of a narrow coastal plain south of Sydney, Australia, enclosing the region known as the Illawarra which stretches from Stanwell Park in the north to Kiama, Gerringong and the Shoalhaven river in the south. The hills of the plateau reach over 400 m and may drop abruptly to the coast. The city of Wollongong is the central city in the Illawarra. The escarpment contains a wide variety of flora and fauna and is a haven for many forms of wildlife. There are many walking tracks and superb views of the surrounding countryside.

Well thats the info verbatim from the site i bought the spores from and seeing they are not a sponser i understand if the information needs to be removed but there it is. Now a bit of a rant, when it comes to "strains" and New forms i am a skeptic as generally there is a lack of understanding on what biologicly constitutes a strain (either by poor education or misinformation) on the part of some vendors (just like pot strains grr) so i can make no claims as to the accuracy of this being a unique or even newish strain however i like what i have seen so far and will be happy to spread the spores when i have the clean room up and running but i make no claims as to genetic uniquness. You don't need a clean room to take good prints. You don't even have to use a glove box. Any clean/closed container can work.

I know but i am building a clean room and all exited about it and when i say clean i mean cleaner as i live in an ancient house with a very high spore count so will probably make up a glove box to be on the safe side. Slart

![]() | wollygong
i love wollygong. ive never had any contamination problems with the strain. one thing i have noticed after reading a lot of threads and going over and over the vaults. everyone doesnt do it the same way and one way might not work for another, but everyone doing it the same way would be boring as hell. anyway Nice Grow!! |
