Yesterday I was kidding her about going to amsterdam and trying to cash in my sky miles to do it................
Today she scored two round trip tickets in october to the real deal.....
She went through all the BS with Delta to cash in my miles and low and behold she did it !!!
AMSTERDAM FOR A WEEK IN OCTOBER !!!!!!!!!!!
I fell down in shock, then got up and kissed her........
Lover, you are the BOMB !!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you go ahead and get those passports now if you don't have em'. That is fuckin' sweet! She sure is the coolest.

My favorite was the Amnesia coffeeshop. They also have a wonderful botanical garden. The Vondelpark is such a beautiful park too.

great deal, if you never been it's really fun....

i was thinking of getting a credit card that uses the flyer points to pay all my bills with it, so i rack up points.... anyone have experience doing that? is that what you do? anyways, i bet the next 4 months will be hard, but worth the wait.

went to the airport today and picked up the tickets !!!!!!!!!!

I have them in my hot little hands !!

Ive been to A'dam twice, loved it.

theres a bar that has curtains of money all over it, people sign money and tape it to the curtains , cant wait to see if the egyptian toilet paper money I put there last time is still arround.

Suckerfree,,,, I got the sky miles credit card just for that reason, but soon found out it still has all the downsides of any other card, ya gotta pay it.

Great score dude, no doubt you'll have a blast. I'm heading to Tasmania in December (home of the worlds largest medical papivar somiferum fields (opium poppies).
Doesn't compare to Amsterdam, but I'm sure looking forward to it.

SF, I got a buddy that does just that. works like a charm. he's got an amex that turns everything into points, redeem em for miles, car rentals, golf clubs, etc...

I think I got 1 pt for every dollar and some stuff was 2 pts / $

Mostly I racked them up going to and from Cairo, and transferring Sheraton hotel points into miles too.

Ive been trying to book an apartment in A'dam but I keep running into flakes that Im really not comfortable giving my Am Ex number to.

Are they really going to be at the airport to pick me up?
Is the apartment for real at all?
They are really vague about giving an exact location of the appartment and ya gotta pry details out of them.

I may have to go with a hotel more for the security of doing business with them, but man they are expensive. A good hotel is easily 400.00 dollars a night, sheesh, it was way better when the company payed for it.

but hey.............83 days to figure it all out.....

I've been twice already, usually we fly to germany, which is usually cheaper than flying straight to holland, then we take a 50 dollar train ride to holland.
from there, the money changing station is right across the street.. then fun fun.

i'll look into a credit card with points, but i doubt i could raise enough in time.

Yea be really careful, lots of rip off schemes about renting places. I'll try and get the number/location of a place that rents out small apartment places. You share a bathroom I think with the place next door but from what I understand they were really nice and affordable. You can find great places for $100 a night.
