Just passing through and thought I'de drop off a new creation...this one was done from scratch in Photoshop using no photo's, clip art, pre-sets or third party plug-ins......just painting with the mouse and applying basic filters and effects...seems to get more fun with every try.

    Thanx for the support.
I am going to start some tutorials to share what I've learned...a lot of this stuff looks a lot harder than it is to actually do...the door to a persons inner creative self is much closer and easier to open than most people think. Sometimes all it takes is for someone else to shine a flashlight on the handle.;)
This forum has taught me a lot about many things..always nice to share when possible.

Someone from the Sporelab forums asked for information on converting photographs to drawings. I figured it out and wrote my first tutorial..It's a bit rough, but gets the message across.
First of all, the before and after shot....

Next are links to the first and second part of the animated tutorial...

    Photoshop dreamscape

The mid-winter Canadian blues (or should I say white) were setting in, so I thought I'd transport myself somewhere else via PS7 and a handful of joints.
This was done from scratch..no images, presets, third party plug-ins or programs. There is so much hidden in Ps7, that nothing else is neccesary...its just a matter of making a million mistakes to find the things that work.
Still making mistakes by the truckload....but having a lot of fun!
Hope you enjoy it....Some of you have probably already been to this place. ;)

Very nicely done Scott! From scratch even. I wonder if you could be convinced to do up one of these at 1024x768?

    Great job!

    man,
i'm seeing all kinds of shapes in those cloud formations,
    stuff that probably isn't there.
    cherubim blowing winds,
a shark attacking a chinese lion,
an owl giving me the finger whilst beckoning me on,
a string of pink, flying pigs??!
    and i'm cold, stone sober!!!
    now that's quality!

    Source...Experimental Photoshop

Just thought I'de post my latest art work...this was done in photoshop7 completely from scratch...no photo's, clip art, third party programs or plug-ins used.. took a while to figure out how to do it, but it seems to be working.

very nice. Reminds me of this street artists work. He would do shit that looked like that with crazy space scenes, all with spray paint. My favorite part is when he would set it on fire to dry the paint...all to the beat of some techno

Thanx for the positive feed back!
sandman...that street artist sounds great..live art with pyrotechnics!! Wish I had been there!!

pissybee...It was all mouse drawn, but using Photoshop's pen tool for the line work...it is the same tool that is used in AutoCAD (computer aided design) by draftsmen and engineers to design just about everything. It is tricky as hell to control, but works great!
