    Post Travelling Cross-Country
    Today, a backpacker stopped in to the sub shop where I work. He asked if I could spare a free sandwich for an "old michigander." While I was talking to him, I found out he was travelling on foot from Washington state. How cool is that?! I didn't think anyone did that anymore. He traded me info for the sandwich: showed me a bottle of Stamets' Host Defense supplements, and told me about a company called New Chapters, which makes organic vitamins. Also told me about a hostel near Coos Bay in Oregon. I didn't think there WERE hostels on this continent. He also gave me a little rock which came from a beach near Big Sur, a place that I've heard about in Beat literature.

    Anyway, seeing this guy made me want to travel. I was wondering if anyone here has any travel stories they want to share. What about while following a band on tour?
