    Imax theater in my house?

I was just wondering if anyone has seen an imax style theater in a house before. I would love to make one but dont know if I can just by imax dvds and use a regular projector or what. I was going to curve the screen like a concave mirror and will be sitting probably 8 to 10 feet away. anyone tried this? I would like to see the movie from my avator in imax.
