Duke, you know why that version of "Gin and Juice" doesn't sound like Phish? It isn't, it's a groups called the Gourds. People have circulated the song on P2P networks as by Phish.

Listening to the Hotel album by Moby I just got. I'm not sure if I like it or not yet.

Nah it was the Gorillaz that did the Clint Eastwood song.

Gomez don't really have any popular us radio songs, they are from the UK. Wonderful band! They get into good rock, blues, nice n psychedelic.

yea lefty was right, my fourth quadrant was soundgarden.

Of course yea, I was thinking about that song while you were talking about selling out too. The thing is, the term is used very generally. You're only really selling out if you're doing something you wouldn't normally do, of course, to make money. Is Liz Phair a sell-out? Quite possibly since she went from indie queen and singing about fucking bleeding dicks to pop songs. It's hard to judge without really knowing the person or being in there head. Did Green Day sell-out? Maybe, although bands do grow older and hence change, since not changing might even be worse in a sense if you're trying to gain from your past. Regardless they're still douchebags. And as I believe it was someone on here said, "they went from singing songs about poo and masturbation to doing political commentary." Oh yea, one thing that killed me, I saw they had Green Day on Storytellers on VH1... umm? Someone clue me in because that's hilarious. Some story tellers, "my shadow's the only one who walks beside me" woooaah you like mean,,, like you're like by yourself right? Billy Joe you're so clever.

They play Gomez on Sirius Satellite on the "Jam On" station.
I was just a little screwed up.

The Charlie Daniels Band - Long Haired Country Boy

People say I'm no good and crazy as a loon
Cause I get stoned in the mornin, get drunk in the afternoon
Kinda like my ole blue tick hound I like to lay around in the shade
And I ain't got no money but I've damn sure got it made

    Chorus:
And I ain't askin' nobody for nothing
If I can't get it on my own
If you don't like the way I'm livin'
You just leave this long haired country boy alone

Preacher man talkin' on the radio, puttin' down the rock and roll
He wants me to send a donation cause he's worried about my soul
He said Jesus walked on the water and I know that it's true
But sometimes I think that preacher man might do a little walkin', too

    Chorus

Poor girl wants to marry and the rich girl wants to flirt
Rich man goes to college and the poor man goes to work
A drunkard wants another drink of wine and the politician wants a vote
I don't want much of nothing at all but I will take another toke

    Chorus

    Peace...

Hah, weird! I'm a huge Mathews fan too. I couldn't stand him until I got drug to a concert by another X- beoooootch. Holy shit what talent! You know that song, Uhhhhhhhhh shit. I can't remember the name of it. Some fan huh? It's off Crash. I think it's Say Goodbye. It's got this incredible drum solo at the beggining. At the concert I almost shit myself when they started playing it. I had a birds eye view of Carter Beaufort. So I got a nice chance to see his skills. Carter Beaufort is by far one of the most superior drummers of all time, along with Neil Pert of course. But anyways. That song single handingly made me into a fan!

I am like many of you, I alternate every couple of weeks. But in no particular order:

Muse-- my cousin said they had the best stage presence of any group he's seen!
    N.E.R.D
    Green Day
    Jack Johnson
    Nirvana
    Bob Marley
Foreign Exchange-- really good underground hip-hop with well thought rhymes
    and many others.
    Sublime
Various classical music Especially pieces from Bach
I'm sure I am to main stream for you guys, but it tickles my ear drums the right way

Hip, you should download some of the Asylum Street Spankers.

I'd imagine you would love the album Spanker Madness. Download the songs war on drugs and blade of grass to get a good taste.

First time I heard that was on the discovery channel Kid Rock and Jesse James where riding a couple of his custom choppers thru mexico.

Kid broke out the guitar at one stop and played that tune.

    Peace...
