Yeah thats their newest album. I was surprised as well, cause I remember reading they split up and the singer was running a restaurant in Seattle or something...
Presidents I still owns all their other albums though, many fond memories of that album from way back when.

As for death metal, I like a lot of "gothenburg sound" which is basically melodic death metal. In Flames, Opeth, Children of Bodom, At the Gates.
I can't seem to get into the newer death metal bands, Killswitch Engage, My Dying Bride, etc.
For the most part when it comes to metal I listen to a lot more progressive metal, thrash metal, and power metal, Dream Theater, Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden, Tool, (old) Metallica, Slayer.

All these subgenres... when will it end.

Listening to Alice in Chains' album "Sap" right now.

[quote=ill eagle]Well your lists show me how out of touch I am, never heard of most of them.
Is there an internet radio station that plays these people/bands??
Stay up late tomorrow night, listen to the Quest on wpkn.org. I try to make a genre-defying psychedelic mix for the perfect buzz. Normally tuesdaynight/wednesday morning 2-7 a.m., tomorrow11 pm till 7 marathon Quest. love to hear opinions from fellow topians... terry

Pick a song and sing a yellow nectarine.
Take a bath I'll drink the water that you leave.

the trippy music thread got me back into them. funny how sometimes you put songs and bands on a back burner, and then are reunited with them after being reminded.

    Felu Kuti- Ransome

This stuff is absolutely great, picked it up from a friend. I had heard a little a long time ago but now that I've got more into roots reggae and also more roots based music in general this stuff really catches my ear. I wish I knew some good African music to pick up. Saw something on direct tv of the guy from Blur/The Gorillaz playing in Mali...it was really interesting too.

He is the fucking master of using a sampler and digging for good stuff to make music with.
