Glass Pipes

Hey, my FOAF just wanted to show off his new water piece courtesy of his university. They were throwing out a bunch of glass so he inquired about it, and they let him pick out whatever he wanted. Here are the results along with some random glass he picked up:

Small:

Big:

First image is all the parts of the piece, disassembled

Second is the water chamber with the slide

Third and fourth are the assembled piece, two various "expansion chamber" sizes

The rest are various glass pieces

The last two are a cool piece that can be used like a 'glass blunt'

Pics of his friends smoking some 'tobacco' in it coming soon

PS. FOAF named it Doctor Doom, or just Doom for short.

first time it was used, it made someone throw up. the guy took a big hit tho

Dude,
Some nice stuff there but I wouldn't smoke out of it or even put it to my lips.
You never know what kind of residue is in there. soak it in a strong lye solution, wash it real good then if you can run it through an anealing oven at 1200 degrees (just before the softening temp of boro. glass).

That what the scientific glassblowers do before they repair a piece.

yeah, FOAF let everything sit with acetone in it, idk how much that will remove but the glass looked pretty clean. and when it was used by FOAF he just got really blazed with no bad side effects that might indicate bad chems. thanks for the hints tho, FOAF will definately do the lye wash as soon as possible
