    Beowulf

Okay, I already have four versions of Beowulf, Grendel, Beowulf and Grendel, etc.

However, this movie I saw last night is excellent and the most realistic 3D film ever made.

This is a great movie. In 3D. The film starts in 3D with the Paramount logo and then a stream of water falls in the middle of the theatre down form the screen. It is awesome. Everyone with their polarized 3d glasses goes oow, wow, ahhhh!. The most amazing 3D i have ever seen in my life and I saw all the original 3D movies of the fifties and sixties. And in the 19802 I saw the Peter Strauss and Molly Ringwald with Michael Ironsides which was the 2nd film to use polarized lens for watching the 3d. Believe me when I say that shit looks real.

    mjshroomer

Angeglina Jolie looks fabulous as Grendel's evil mom.

Beowuilf fights his enemies naked to the bone. The movie is also a lilttle exotic and erotic at the same time, almost sexy.

Interestingly the queen and other actors somewhat resemble the characters and the movements of characters in a manner similar to the way the actors move in the shrek film series. Almost animatron-like movements.

John Malkovitch is his usual creepy self.

    This is a biggie.

    Oh Yeah!

One of the other films is with Christopher Lambert of Highlander Fame. IT is pretty cool. The Sci-Fi Grendel film had a cool monster.

But this one takes the cake.

They do give you the glasses at the theater. They are polarized lenses and look like sun glasses, and you can wear them int he sun.

They are well constructed and made just for the film.

Do not miss this movie and when you see it, please come back here and write about what you felt and saw.

I read that they hid Beowulf's penis like in the Austin Powers movies intro, and that Angelina Jolie does not have nipples.

    Thumbs up

Yeah, thankfully, no heroic penis shots. But it's not done in a comical manner or at a comical time so it isn't that noticeable, unless you've been hoping to see Beowulf's penis since he disrobes and all... but to each his own CT

However, I do believe I was very aware of Grendel's Mother's nipples. She has a sort of extra, gold skin that doesn't ever quite slide off, but almost... and then they change the shot.. and then the skin goes down a little more and what was going on? ooh angelina jolie's nipples... and then I missed some important plot stuff so I'm definitely going to see it again, but mainly for the nipples.

The thing is, the whole movie is redone in computer generated graphics. So you're not seeing angelina jolie, or her nipples even if they are only covered by a thin film of gold skin, just a computer generated character that her features were used to create the look, including built in stiletto heels and prehensile hair.

And yes, that movie is fucking badass!!!

There's been some internet fads of people superimposing King Leonidas' face in dumb videos with the caption "THIS IS SPARTA" all over. I predict that the new fad will be with Beowulf and his "I .. AM .. BEOWULF!!".

Phenomenal, just phenomenal, I think I'm gonna go see it again tomorrow!

That's ok. Few people have ever really seen movie stars or their bodies anyway; to me, women like Angelina Jolie have always just been an appealing collection of colored dots on screens or paper. Suspension of disbelief is a double-edged sword; so realistic yet forever out of reach to me (since I'm not the stalking type).

And "prehensile hair?" I've got to see this!

Seems like the movie's pretty damn good aye? I'll have to try and go see it then.

The last 3D movie I saw at the theater was Jaws 3.

It was almost hard to believe that it was rated PG13, but i guess when they hide the nipples and penis its ok for the Kiddies...

Saw it last night - enjoyed the imagery but had problems understanding a lot of the dialogue (especially when Grendel talked). Best part of the movie: the fine lady working the rolling pin.

It's on Imax too! And the gift shops of Imax theaters are usually full of shiny 'science' bling that's a nice distraction when you ate too many mushrooms before the movie and they haven't opened the theater for seating yet.

Just thought I'd post another topiate's recommendation...

Beowulf 3D was a seriously entertaining movie! I highly recommend making it out to see this one in theaters.

Well, I went to go see it, on Nov. 23 I think, my b-day. I went online to find which theater and what show times. Two theaters were showing it, one with 2D only, and one with both 2D and 3D.

So, my father and I get to the theater, all excited and pumped about seeing monsters, Ms. 3D Jolie and a buckneked Beowulf(j/k), but to our dismay, "Uhmm, it's not showing here, it's showing at the other theater.". Huh? WTF? But, but...but.....it said??..........dammit.

So we go to the other theater, the one with only 2D, and watch the movie. It was great and all, but man what a bummer. I mean, it said they were playing it. I even double-checked when I got home. Geeez, the internet these days!

    Weird. And very, VERY disappointing.

Though I think the AA 75X b-day sterilizer will more than make up for the dismay. Wooooo!

Great flick, Got to see it opening weekend in 3D. I never realised how good digital 3D is. There are parts of this film where a sword will swing at your face and it makes you jump. Can't wait to see some of the other 3D movies coming out. The remake of Journey to the center of the earth will be in 3D and looks really good.

The 3D is pretty nifty, but you didn't miss out on much. At times, I forgot I was even watching in 3D untill a sword would point out of the screen.
