Last Eclipse till 2010

This will be an excellent opportunity for those of us In North Amereica to view the last full lunar eclipse until the year 2010

It will Be February the 20th..thats next week.
Even if I have to leave and go somwhere where it is a clear sky I wont be missing this one.

Great I just bought a brand new telescope too. I wonder If Michigan will get a total eclipse (or even have clear skies that night).

looks like bad weather / snow might block visibility in North America.
but i'm hoping we will be able to see the eclipse
and possibly the shuttle Atlantis coming in..

anyone catch satellite USA 193 making a pass on the way down?

just type in your latitude and longitude to see when you can see it

It looked great from my hood. There was a red hue on the lower half of the moon mid eclipse. I took the telescope out and snaped a couple good photos with the digi cam threw the telescope. I'll post a few shots soon.

ammmmmmmmazing and still watching periodically i managed to get lucky as it was snowy here all day but cleared up completely just in time for the show all i managed to get were a few shitty shots with my digi cam but a photographer buddy of mine snapped a bunch i will post them when his lazy ass comes through with those

i Loved my veiw of the eclipse, watched it for about an hour on top of a mountain. tripp was good exept freind keeped going off about it looking like a hamburger..Think he had the muchies from the blueberry cush we been smoken..hehe first post her guys...love the solar system trippin....

Awesome pics!

It was 7 deg F here. Super crisp and clear. Though we stayed out to see the moon come back we did not have a camera that could get a good picture. What a cool evening!

From my position in the US, the eclipse was beautiful. At the peak it was a dark pink. To bad it was like 20 degrees outside that shortens the viewing period.

I tried to shoot but I only had B/W film and the digital is low quality optics, I was dissappointed.

It was dark pink to red where we are at, camera thru the telescope just wouldnt pick up the color, to dark for the optics of my digital I think.

was pretty awesome to check out! was cool to cuz the weather people screwed up(surprise!) supposed to be cloudy but was crystal clear,cold as hell ,but clear. the view was spectacular and a little lunacy does the soul good!

very little man, one time it did turn pinkish but Im still learning my camera. My shot of Mars was way better. The thing is this, i get a GREAT picture and I forget what all the settings were when I took it. Also with this camera every pic seems to want different settings for different situations. And there are a million and one combinations with this thing!...lol
