    Edibles for Actives

Hi, I'm looking to acquire some prints of some edible varieties of mushrooms. In return I'm offering to trade prints of P. Cubensis strains. Let me know if you're interested.
    Thanks.

    got boletus

Howdy, do you have the blueing boletus? (Gyroporus cyanescens) The one they call 'sticky bun' or something. Its supposed to be delicious.

I can try to gather up a couple of spore prints if you're interested? Last time this year, they were plenty in the pine forests..

hmmm that's mycorrhizal though isn't it? although i would love to grow it i imagine it would be very difficult, if not impossible to do so. but i guess i'm up for a challenge. if you get some prints, we can trade.

    Cool.

Do you have the wild version of the most common commercial edible?

Someone might have to tell me what its called.. I just know its the same species me and my family have been eating every year since I can remember. I'l keep my eye out today, and get back to you

sorry to disappoint you but growing Gyroporus cyanescens isn't possible at home. it's a mycorrhiza.

yep i believe i said that myself. but i care to try anyway, more for the challenge than anything. what do i really have to lose?
naturally my preference is actually for edibles that can be grown

you said it, but i just wanted to tell you again that it's about impossible for a homegrower (and also for specialists). and because you only offered cubensis spores i think you've only grown cubensis until now (if i'm wrong, sorry) and i would start with something easy... would be a waste of time, energy and money imo
start with something easy like Kuehneromyces mutabilis, Pleurotus eringii, Pleurotus ostreatus, Lentinula edodes or some kind of agaricus ore something else where you can at least find some grow reports. all of them are not as easy as P. cubensis but you will be able to do it if you want to... but growing a mycorrhiza without having experience in growing loads of different other shrooms will only be a waste of time.

    good luck anyway

i do agree with you, but spores aren't that hard to come by anyway. if i fail, oh well. i probably would say no but it's a bit late now. so i'll stick with what i said.

i am definitely more interested in these mushrooms. they are exactly what i am aiming for. if anyone can help me out with these that would be great.

    thanks for the concern though.
