    looking for agar plates
    hey i know it make sense to buy agar and fill petri dishes but i do not have a flow hood and i have a small glove box. i was wondering if anyone could sell me some pre-filled dishes or know of a place to get them

    I have bought then from e(vil)Bay on occasion. They are fairly cheap there... you will certainly pay more buying pre-poured.

    Otherwise, there are quite a number of science supply retailers that carry them... just check google.

    I pour, er inject my plates via the BB tek with agar in my bathroom- cleaned around the work area and bombed with oust/lysol.

    I've done this with about 50 plates, no problems. Cover yer mouth and hair while working and only lift plate covers an inch or so to fill them.
