Hip im honestly not trying to rain on your parade, i think it would be a great but extremely risky move on your part.

Cell phone calls are basically open radio transmissions (an oversimplification, but essentially true) and easy to monitor. Just because a cell is pre-paid doesn't mean calls from it can't be monitored and tracked; finding out to whom the phone was sold is trickier and even impossible if cash was used.

The information in the call, however, is not dependent upon who paid for it.they can also get a history of the numbers that you called and received on it and bug those people to find out who you are. Would that be enough probable cause to search them?

I personally wouldn't risk it man. Look what happened to Psilocybe Fanaticus. I dont know how likely this is but if they can somehow tie you to distributing spores/ grow equipment and then prove your giving instructions to grow over the phone, you may be looking at a conspiracy to manufacture (or conspiracy to distribute) a controlled substance charge.

So unless everyone you know buys and tosses a TracFone weekly, it probably isn't gonna do you much good.

NEVER say anything on a cellphone you won't mind Officer Friendly overhearing.

This could really turn into something.If you are on one of the major networks, verizon ect, Your actual time would be free. But where else could one get personalized help over the phone? This is sweet deal. Hip, you'd have to set up some kind of times, 5-8 pm or something, or else all you'd do is be on the phone. But sounds great, I'd buy a dial-a-hippie card, great for that emergency type deal when you need the counciling, asap. I've been doing some "work" and called someone for advice, too wet, pc times, ect. Great idea Hip!

Cool idea!

I've seen something similar done in the context of helping high-tech business startups, and I think it would work just as well here. There were two separate services offered; one was regularly-scheduled conference calls where up to X number of people could be on at once (kind of like chat). It was mostly done lecture-style, with the head consultant talking about the state-of-the-art of their industry followed by questions from the participants. There were two or three technical consultants participating in the calls and up to 50 clients at a time so plenty of expertise was available. In this context (Dial-a-Hippie) it could be a general Q&A session and with everyone paying to be there it will most likely go smoothly though I doubt a disposable phone could handle something like that. Skype probably could, though. The other option was personal one-on-one consultation, either with a retainer paid in advance or at the beginning of the call.

The conference calls were cheaper than the personal consults, and the most expensive option was paying a retainer in advance for personal consultation but that gave the client the right to call any day of the week (during reasonable hours) for immediate assistance.

There are a lot of questions people probably have that they would like to know the answers to but not so much that they'd pay the personal consult fee to hear them, or if all they had was one question then the cheaper conference call option would be much more attractive to them. That's my two cents...

you can use voip telephony to your advantage on top of the cell phone , here's a small example sign up via proxy to somethen like grandcentral its free http://www.grandcentral.com/ , you then pick a number anywhere in anystate you want ,can have more then one number in more then one state , then give out only those number ! basically you can chain the phone numbers so one calls the other till it rings you and thier are many free voip services online some even allow you to set your outbound caller id ,
meaning when you call someone it could show a incomeing number from japan or the whitehouse , etc,,,
