my phalaris (poa), is also known as kentucky blue grass, its very nice and a great ornamental; aka, Poa pratensis, Kentucky bluegrass, Phalaris japonica

Those pirces are pretty high. Even the cases are expenisive. "500 Extra Large Pods (bulk) 450$" when ---(im not gonna link a non paying vendor)---- sells 500 jumbos for 300$. Any chance you guys are gonna run lower prices on cases? Thanks

One mans Jumbos are another mans large, there is a game often played by pod vendors where they claim one size and deliver another. Inches don't lie.

Quality of the pods vary greatly and weak quality pods go for substantially less than their potent cousins.

Secondly, are you in the market to make a bulk purchase ?

If you are in the market put your money where your mouth is and PM me what you would like to purchase and for what price.

Had problems with non sponsors were I ordered Jumbos,
but they sent a mix of mainly all mediums and some large
but the ones i ordered Jumbos wasnt a single one in the box. lol

This is soooo true. SWIM has shopped around for pods a lot, and several vendors would deliver actual jumbos the first time (6-8" around) then end up delivering larges or mediums the second or third order. Sometimes he even ordered pods that were supposed to be jumbos, that were barely mediums. For actual jumbos, it's rare that SWIM paid less than $1.25 per pod.

It's terrific that topia now has a pod vendor, that has competitive prices, and supports Mycotopia. SWIM would gladly pay a little extra if it helps out topia, but to be honest, Poppy's prices are on par with many of the reliable vendors SWIM has purchased from in the past. Even in the smaller orders, the jumbos come out to less than $1.25, which is as good or better than many of the online pod sources SWIM has found.

Next may I'll let ya'all know when my mom throws hers away. I got 1/2# of seeds from her just a couple of weeks ago for my friends. she just keeps the best pods for flower arranging then throw pounds upon pounds away. Nobody is going to hassle a 75 yo woman living in an extremely upscale part of San Diego for growing poppies. Her front yard is just beautiful when they're all in bloom she and her master gardener friend trade seeds of diffrent cultivars of Papaver somminiferum.

My Mother keeps a poppy bed. She has at every house we've ever lived in. They really are magnificently beautiful flowers. That smell and just holding those flowers against my nose to snuff it in are perhaps my first intentional entheogenic experience.

I got some jumbos and they all measured very close to 6.5" or more.

I definitely notice 1 pod, and worked with 4 once. Even with 4 I wasn't totally blown away. This is true no matter what pods I get, so it's me not the pods I think.

(I'm kindof scared to use more than 4, because I'm really scared about going too far. It's all very foreign to me to work with something that is relatively so dangerous.)

Yeah,ya gotta work your way up in the flower "arrangements"!!! Being cautious isnt a bad thing! Sometimes too much will ruin the floral arrangment and just be terrible looking all around!!!!

A good site is Poppies.org--if you arent a member,you can get ideas for arrangements in the somni forum without being a member!

Yes yes becarefull with those arraingments,they can be heavy. and if you arnt carefull, you can get to making too large of an arrangemnet, like me getting up to 15-20. RESPECT THE POD!!!

Pablo the husky says four cups water and the straw of 8 jumbos conjures up a swell preparation for two of this wonderful Plant of Joy...

SWIM placed his first order from Poppy's, and the size and quality were exceptional. They arrived very promptly in only 2 days. From placing his order, early Monday morning, they arrived on Wednesday of that week. The pods are all jumbos (some places maybe considered mammoths), none were broken or cracked, and they all sound free of mold when shaken. There were even some of the largest pods SWIM has ever seen, included in the package. He is more than pleased with his order and would recommend Poppy's Pods for any floral arrangement or art design. They were also packaged well, and had no seeds leaking, like some former vendors he used. WAY TO GO POPPY!! Thanks a bunch!
