  | The new hobo-tek in progress
Here is a little something I have been working on. After a long hiatus from the hobby, I am back to grow a couple of fun guys. This is my very first attempt at this kind of growing method. It isnt really original at all. I basically have taken from various teks from our very own vaults and added my own "Hobo" twists. My style of growing is aimed at the poor and lazy people out there everywhere. Maybe even the retarded. I do qt jars of WBS for spawn. Strain is Koh Samui SS. These WBS jars are "no soaked" ala http://forums.mycotopia.net/showthread.php?t=9358 (Just another way to prep Wild Bird Seed) thx freakachino n shit. Here is where things get funky! I decided to go with the ol' Hobo Bags based on http://forums.mycotopia.net/showthre...shroom+bags%22 (Simple, Lazy, Invitro Mushroom Bags) I decided that I didnt want to mess with fanning, misting, humidifiers etc or otherwise do anything. What better than large invitro bags. And what better bags to use than Homemade Hobo bags! These bags are nothing but thin clear sacks that are rubberbanded at the top with a big ass was of pollyfill. The substrate is cow dookie/coir @ approx 85/15. Spawned one QT jar of WBS per bag, and about 10 cups or so of pastuerized sunstrate. They are at about 4-5 days from spawning right now. The first ones I did were larger oven bags probably about 2 lbs at least of sub, and some of them are not colonizing and look quite dry. They were hot water bath pastuerized aaand I added a little water after they were hung dry to cool overnight (lloked kinda dry) I dunnoo, but the rest of them I have done are smaller and all look good. I think I got about 3 or 4 more days till they get light. I have loooots and lots of pics of the pastuerization method and jars and other stuff that I will post as a complete tek when this is all done. Peace!

| update
Still No pins. Added supplemental lighting today. Temps at 75 at day and 65 at night. Noticed quite a bit of piss forming lately. A few days ago it was getting to the mid 80s in the day but that was solved. There is what apears to be a cannabis seedling growing in one of the bags though....

Remoevd polly and opted to roll and twist corners to inflate bag arround substrate and clothespin the 2 corners to hold in humidity. Pins Noticed today. Im opening the bags up 3 or 4 times a day and re clothespinning for air.

| slow going...looks like trouble
Here are updates. Almost all the bags have pins, but they are not growing very fast or getting very big. xxxsev suggested i should mist them so i began misting them last night. Hopefully they get big...

Here are some on 2nd and some still on first flush, and one bag harvested. Funny strain, those KSSS rascals. Not too bad...

Nice sandman. Its weird how half the KSSS grows I see look like yours (fatties), and the other half look completely different. (tall, skinny) Very nice work, I'm diggin the bags.
