is that your usual procedure? the pans and the tub? it is sort of the idea i wanted to go with, so i could dunk and flip the "loaves" for the 2nd or third flush. do you need a layer of verm in the tub itself(i was reading that on someone elses thread) or is the casing/substrate in the pan moist enough? no sence in waisting it if it is not needed. i havnt gotten there yet but once you flush the "loaf" would it work better on a layer of verm and foil the second time so the sides would be exposed too? or is there something wrong with this idea? looks good though.

I used no verm. I just spawned to past. poo straw. I will dunk em after the first flush. The verm Idea seems valid, but I didnt do it this time. Getting pretty good results. I highly recomend puting a nice layer of colonized WBS on top of Bulk sub. It colonized fast and I think it helped with contam reduction. I splurged on one of those heated seedling heat mats and placed it under the FC. seems to have helped quite a bit.

They are pretty thin and long, I am thinking FAE is the prob. I put the recirc fan on High and set in in front. Hoping for more good pix soon!

All I have to say is look how pretty this HB strain is. I think it is absolutely beautiful. The color of the caps is perfect. Fruiting well too. I think that should have added some more FAE earlier and I would have bigger fruits. I am gonna dunk after the first flush and return the bags to their current positions in front of the fan and I bet I get a bigger round next flush. I like bags, they are so easy!! Enjoy the Porn...

This morning.. It seems that FAE was the issue on these bags. In the future I will have a fan on the bags way sooner. Maybe at 75% colonization... It seems to have perked the mycelium right up into fruit mode!!

First flush on 2 bags... I pulled of all the lil aborts and such and dunked in tap water. I will dump out the H20 and dump in some Pasteurized peat Verm tomorrow.

So those went from 53 grams wet to almost 13 dry???? That's about twice what it should have been. DO all hillbilly's have this trait? not staying with the 90% water ? if so, i need to switch up strains, that's some nice weight ratio. |

Yeah man, those stems were freakin solid... I think that this is def a trait of the HBs and I would offer caution eating them wet because of the wet/dry weight difference. ![]() They are beautiful too... Nice gold caps

Wow. Glad this thread was resurrected. Helluva nice strain it is, must make a note to acquire some of those. Good photo log of everything, too, prism.
