![]() | Late casing tek revised. So here is another go at the late casing tek, i came to a conclusion last time that inorder for this to work well it would be better to work with a clone. So that is exactly what ive done, ive taken the best looking fruit from a cluster (eq) and cloned it. Ive spawned to horse doodoo and coir/verm about 5 days ago and the sub has just exploded. Ill be waiting for pins to form then apply a light casing layer. Here are a few shots of the agressive rhizo growth in the tub. |

![]() | I am a lil confused since coir is a substrate it can't also be a casing right? You can basically do your substrate and a layer of rez effect substrate but I would think it would snap back to colonizing instead of pinning? Any thoughts? I tried Fahtster late casing tek, stroph told me about it and I had a lot of knots and 3 pins and as soon as they turned color I cased in straight verm and 3-4 days later I have a few clumps of pins and single pins poking through all over the place. What is you guys opinion for best casing? Peat /Verm? and at what mix? I just had my 1st Rez effect grow and I cased with straight verm with the late casing just a lil earlier and go 8g dry from a sandwich sized container. |

![]() | Thanks dude, iam afraid i may have missed the opertunity to late case, iam just so damn busy packing and moving i cant keep an eye on everything. In anycase here are a few pics showing current situation, i strongly thinking if i should case or just let it fruit as is. What would you guys recomend? |

![]() ![]() | i am not sure what i would recomend(only did it once) but when i late cased there were several pins farther along like yours and it worked out well. i hear conflicting reports on how nutritious coir is so i dont really know what to tell you there. IMO coir/verm worked great as a casing layer. it is only starting to get colonized now after the first flush. dont pack it down, just sprinkle lightly as i read someone else doing here. faht probably. good luck. |
