my 1st grow... with pics

on june 3rd, i grinded up organic brown rice mixed w/ water and verm 1/2 1/2 1/4. I filled 3 one pint jars loosely then put aluminum foil over these then pressure cooked for 50 minutes. i innoculated them on the 4th i used one syring of Mexican on 3 jars.. the last jar only got one squirt of 1 cc or less whilst teh other 2 jars had about 1 cc + per whole (other compinsated for sterilization adn cooling needle) then . in 2 days, they germinated. by june 28th, 2 jars are fully coloonized. I birthed one jar on this day and Double end cased it, soaked perlite adn set the cake on jar lid on top of 3 inches of perlite in a clear rubbermaid tote. Its been about 4 days now in that tote adn the pins are popping up pretty nicely. i am going to birth the 2nd jar soon dunk for 24 hours in teh fridge then double end case that too. idk about the 3rd jar if its a waste of time because i shot up dry air w/ teh syringe opend cap, messed w/ dry vermiculite on top on purpose trying to contaminate it so I could see what contamination looked like. (this is my first attempt so i am only going for perfection so i know what to do next time ) Do you think i should just toss hjar 3? i dont see any signs of contamination. here is pics from beginning to what I have now....

heres the pics... also, i fan teh terrarium 4-6 times a day depending on how often im hom,e or want to check on it. i talk to them making sure to exchange some co2... they smell noiice.

ok i am birthing my 2nd cake today. i am going to dunk for 12 hours then dec . the 3rd jar seems to be fully collonized adn looks as if its trying to pin in the jar?? ill take a pic if i can get it to come out dumb 2.1 megapixels suck...
the 3rd jar i tryed to contaminate during mid growth, but i dont see anything abnormal. so should i continue to use it? or trash it? need ur opinions on the 3rd cake as its important before i birth it adn put it in wih the one pinning :-P
and dont ask how i know this, but after birthing cake 2, i put my finger in my mouth adn it tatses sweet... wierd? cuz i remember reading something about a sweet smell being bad what about taste? i have pics of this cake as well (i think i may have bruised it it was a bitch to get out of that jar needded to use butter knife adn grasp tightly adn kinda twist adn yank...)

I really need a new camera...... grrr!

yea system ofa down is my favorite band.. they ahve influenced me alot... When should they be mature enough to eat oh and the cake i was worried about contam, was really contam'd adn i ended up like breathing ion it adn biting my nails w/ junk on it still prolly so i hope i dont die.. i kidna feel light headed might be psychosomatic idk :-p i am allergic to mold tho a little

well i like to pick the mushrooms right as the veil starts to tear, or if you want to wait a little longer they will grow slightly larger and the caps will open up completely and spores will drop. Its your preference when you pick them, but since the potency is not affected IMO you should pick after the caps open up for maximum size. Good luck
