![]() | freak of nature? never seen since...
This mutant came from a FOAF's batch of PF strain several years ago. At the time we found this very strange but it was in her first few, newbie flushes . It was passed off as something not uncommon. My question is; was it uncommon? I haven't searched the photo gallery long and hard, but I have seen quite a bit and I certainly haven't seen anything like it again. It has long since been dried and eaten. Should she have saved this little beauty?

Not something you see every day, but not something unique. Very cool pic, though!!! I really love the freak show stuff like that, so thanks! Nothing to worry about unless they all end up like that...

Seen it a few times... FOAF used to work with a PR isolate that tended to do that occasionally, as well go penis on me for 2rd and later flushes haha! But they'd be complete siamese twins, joined from the bottom to the cap.. Gotta get him to revive that strain... There was a crazy pic a while back someone posted a while back of one shroom growing from the cap of another, upwards like a mirror image..Very funky.. |

I wonder how this would be explained at the cellular level, siamese twins are well known and documented in humans and animals, but in plants and fungi? I guess this fusion would happen later in the development of the mycelium, like a graft between two fruiting bodies?

i dont know what it was but i feel that it might have to do with the RH ill try a few things to see if it will happen again and i have seen them go the other way too (one stem two caps)
