i got the vert :(

textbook vert from what i understand. pins appeared sorta flaky, and stems became wrinkly as they matured. normal fruits before the last dunk. so ... how do you combat this, and is it as harmless as it has been played off as?

i guess my question is; would bleach or peroxide be more effective against a bacterial infection? i typically use neither, as i find them damaging to mycelia.

Vert is ABSOLUTELY HARMLESS to you. It makes for ugly shroomies, but that is all.

slightly questionable if it is vert myself(kinda hard to see up close in those pics), it resembles it slighty.. But if it is, it is a small/or starting(possibly weaker) infection---maybe something that will get worse in time, as vert grows and thrives --usually vert makes the shrooms look real knarley and nasty, splitting stems, hollow stems, extra wet mushrooms, bubbly stems, brown stripes etc......

verticillium can be combated only by isolation and an augmentation in your cleanliness/ sterile procedure and IME lots of air exchange.......

some info on vert here --> (verticillium)Verticillium

thanks guys. clenliness (lack of it) was likely the cause . i pay far more atention to maintaining proper conditions than keeping them sealed away in a little box far from the dirt and grime of the real world. this guy was bound for the trash long ago anyways, but just kept spittin' out pins.
lol @ jim - rh is the least of my worries. ambient is well upwards of 60% here. i can fruit a tray in open air if i want to.
