Wink Damn! Thats one resourceful Hamster!

When Strap(the hamster)found himself relocating to better digs uptown, he decided to use his low rent habitrail apartment for a fungal adventure. In his Habitrailerrium, he put a layer of verm(pre-moistened with 1:200 bleach solution. Then he lighty sprinkled a 1/2pt a colonized popcorn. lightly covered and mixed with a pre pasteurized manure/verm/peat/brf. Then another layer of verm as a casing. He covered the tray with aluminum foil, punched a few small holes, and put it away for 3 days. After 3 days the foil was removed, and the original cover installed. The door was taped closed with tyvek, and holes taped closed. Small ventilation holes were covered by micropore. The cover was removed several times a day for fresh air, and a light misting now and then with 1:200.Under natural lighting. They're pretty small and skinny. Any ideas on why? First flush yielded about 80g wet total suprisingly. Straps not to dissapointed though.

O.I. almost forgot, gotta thank the elf that made it possible. he saved me! The tray is approx-6x14x2 The mix was a takeoff of ninjas mix. 1c peat, 1/4cbrf, 2c dried, screened composted manure(bagged), 4-6c verm, little lime, 2tbls magic worm food.Pastuerized 1hr 45 min. Not all of that was used in tray. And thats not ninjas ratios. Heres a pic for size referance. Some (a few) larger ones were removed before any pics were taken.

The same variety ,from different jar, did much better(larger) on horse poo trays outdoors. At least until it got too chilly. Aussie is just startin to go to in dubtubs.

Thumbs up updated on hamsters habitrailerrium

just addin to this a lil bit. Just harvested 9th flush from this habitrailerrium. dunk after 4th flush. 5-9 were all 3-6 mushies apiece but the size of the mushies increased greatly. largest weighed in at 36g wet. the tray was just broken up and spawned to fresh tub o poo. hopefully it'll take back off and colonize quickly. this was a very resilient strain and fought of contams like a champ. OI ,The potency seemed to vary with each different flush, but overall great performer imho. I would recomend it for a beginner just cause of its hardiness and longevity.
