As some of you saw before my mini straw log gave off a huge boomer. That one weighed in at learly 5g dry! Since then i almost threw this log out because it was showing no sighns of pinning, well i was WRONG, way WRONG. here is what its been up to. W0AH!

that is one reason i was gonna chuck it, i was afraid it was gonna go rotten real quick. The last big fruit on it grew alongside of the log and the stem sorta grew into the log. so when i removed the fruit body some of it was left on the log still! i thought i would go rotten and contam, but so far it hasnt'

. how sweet it tis.

i thought i would throw some pics in here of my contamed texans! this just happened the other day :_(

If it doesn't go nasty and you have space for it, I say let it go until it goes nasty. My FOAF has gotten some really nice late boomers from "forgotten" projects.

Just don't forget 'em so long that they go totally green (along with the whole fruiting environment). Cleaning up after that kind of stuff is friggin' anoying...

I harvested my monster today, it weighed in at 139g wet! Hopefully when it is done drying out it will be near half a O ! I couldnt get over the size of the cap, the diameter of it is bigger than i have ever seen for a pe. Hopefully i will get a kickin print from it. Just incase i dont though, i set up two lc's and transfered some small bits from the inside of the stem into them, using a glove box and sterile tools. I am always amazed by the amount of bruising the pe gets! I would have taken some pics of the blueing but my camera died. So far i have seen massive shrooms growing off of my straw, is this common to get bigger shroomies off of straw? Well here are some pics for you guys to enjoi. Happy shroomin all!!

PE huh? That's a unique looking PE IMO. Check out how the verticillium had set in on the mushroom when mature. Don't let me scare you either man, it's common with a few cubensis strains.

I think Hip's right, I've only had PE6 in stock, I did sell a few PE but that was before I learned the prints I bought were mislabeled, they said PE but turned out the be PE6. It is still a good strain.
