koh samui super, day 24

1 pint jar and 9 half pint inoculated Nov. 22nd Koh Samui Super Strain

5 pints inoculated Dec. 8th 2 "Z" strain , 3 KSSS

these are pictures of incubator, colonization as of this far. and a casing made from HALF of a half pint jar. (was getting a little too excited and needed something to keep my mind off the jars. plus i'll get to trip, and see how this will perform on this casing, before the other jars are birthed.

casing is very shallow for a casing. but its only half of a half pint. casing is a mix of coir and verm. with a layer of vermiculite over that. i'd like to say its 50/50 coir verm, but i did not measure or anything.

this is my second grow. first time while learning i did PES Hawaiian and Treasure Coast (loved the Hawaiian's )

i bought a cheap camera for this. and well. the pictures are shitty. because of this. hahahahaha

hopefully i can get some better pic's when this casing starts to pin and fruit. i have a feeling the pictures are much better under a brighter light . so yea here it is. love it or hate it.i dont care either way. because i get to trip. haha

BTW, you can 86 the aluminum foil. It serves no purpose after the jars are out of the pressure cooker.

The foil just keeps moisture out of the injection holes when the jars are being subjected to all that steam and pressure.

Probably no harm done by leaving it on. It may have blocked some gas exchange, but I'd bet it was insignificant if it did. Everything looks a little more tidy with it off too

I gotta agree with Siam too. KSSS is a favorite!

this thing doesnt even nearly capture the beauty. i need a nice one. onea those 10 mp beasts. first three are of the stealth cabinet. 2nd is earlier today. when it was holding my incubator. 3rd is as of now. for a micro cannabis grow. the rest are the casing pinning. there's so many pins on it. camera doesnt capture it all

your going to love the koh samui .they are kick ass my friend .. if there is such a thing as overdosing i did on koh samui there was no problems just an extreme trip . the fruits were fat asses big fat asses .well good luck and let us know how it goes .. ol and hold on tight...(*__*)...

this casing fell victim to what i believe is trichoderma. i got about one gram. it startyed turning all green. i threw it out. it was green all on the bottom too. does this mean my future casings are almost completely likely going to be doomed by trichoderma and the spores that are most likely all over the place now? should i get an ionizer or something?

heres the last flush of the casing. and the new casing i am letting colonize. it is 2 pints and was cased on december 24th. i didnt fan it. and today there was cobweb mold on a good portion of the top. i sprayed it with peroxide and it shriveled away so hopefully thats under control and i am going to continue to fan it. i just wonder if this new one is essentially doomed. any help appreciated

ok. i had to sell my cam cuz i was short on cash. but . i'm in the third flush of the 2 pint casing i had done. ive gotten about 16 grams dry so far. i bet i'll get 20. i'd really like to start working with poo's and bulk substrates and such. i'd like to work my way up[ to some of the monster fruits i see around here. so it will be trial and error learning experience as everything in this life is. ive been reading alot about agar and cloning and such. but i think i will be doing grain to grain transfer with one or two of my colonized pints. (correction, i will attempt, keep your fingers crossed). i have a big bag of wild bird seed. and i will use one of the teks on here when i get a pressure cooker. hopefully i can do a couple of quarts from g2g

(by the way these were boiled jars, not PC'ed, and i got zero contams, for the first run with sterilization of the 9 KSSS jars, i also did a batch of 5 pints, 3 ksss, and 2 Z strain) the Z strain began to contam out. and the ksss's are still going nicely. could have been other factors tho, not good enough sterility at inoculation and such. there's all kinds of factors(inoc'd december 18th)

i took very small pieces of what there was colonized in the Z jars ( not much, like id say about 1/6 of a half pint) and i put it in a plastic beer cup with coir, let it sit for about 8 days covered with foil. then i popped it out of the cup and i had about a half pint which i fruited invitro. so at least i got something out of the contam'd jars.


Yea im like rambling and shit, so anyways like, I've done two 1.5 gram doses in the past week. spaced apart by 2-4 days cant really remember. but yea. beautiful feelings each time, just such a great time and i love KSSS. You should too. hahahhaha. im not even a very experienced tripper as it is very hard to find them alot of the time around here. so i went my own route first with the Hawaiians and Treasure coast. the very few times i have been able to find shrooms in the area. it was not even near as good as this. and are anywhere from 25-45 an eigth(the 20 bucks you could spend to grow outa half ounce+ that you would pay 100-140 for) basically it should be legal as fuck because its indigenous to this country and still grows wildly and could even have medical potential. not to mention there's many different varieties, that each carry a beauty of their own, and a beautiful feeling that almost everyone should feel. (this is of course excluding people who should avoid it... manic depressive, schizophrenic, any sort of psychosis) I have manic depression, and I really feel it could be used as depression relief for SOME people. not all people. it makes you appreciate all the things you would not notice and just take for granted, one of the things being quite simply, the beauty of the world around you, essentially (in controlled trips, inexperienced user, metered dosages instead of popping an 1/8 their first time which could easily trigger their bad trips. good mind state, comfortable setting, all those things, i really think it could make you from being down, to overly up. given everyone feels the way i do when i does, BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT) But anyway yea. thats my thoughts. I wont even get started on the beautiful cannabis plant that should be legal for its beauty if not any else of the thousands of reasons i could mention here but will not as i do not feel like it and its also a different forum im sure. But yea anyways. roses, tulips, lilacs, yea thats all well and good. Their pretty in their own ways. But in my opinion it doesnt compare to the unpredictable and predictable hues you can experience in marijuana cultivation (blue, purple, pink, orange, red, green) hmm. I'm pretty sure thats most of colors the naturally occuring beautiful rainbow. I dont really ever see any other flowers producing beautiful resins and diamond like crystals and trichomes. It's diamond covered colors of beauty. Whens the last time you saw diamonds on a thorny red rose? did it prickyou when you touched it? it pricked me, that rose might just prick you, instead of giving you a wonderful, life enhancing high that should be enjoyed by all. yea and i could go on about all of the information , and jack herer literature but i wont.
