first off. nice grow there. a most excellent job.

as for the dryness thing...... are the cracker dry? this means that when you snap a stem in half its "cracks", and brakes into two pieces. i'm not sure this can be obtained by just letting the sit in open air.

the best thing to do is get some damprid. found in you local store in the painting section. put some damp rid in an airtight container along with you mushrooms and they'll be "cracker dry" in a day or so.

yeah, thats what i meant.. cracker dry..
the stems dont look that dry yet..
i normally split the stem in half to speed the drying a bit..
the cap dries up really fast.. the stem takes a little longer

Yeah those definetly neeed some more drying. They may seem dry but when you put em in a bag for any length of time they will start to rot. Nice grow though.

use a paper bag and they won't rot if there's just a bit of residual moisture as the paper wicks it away for evaporation

Open air will work..........just think about what is occuring-----water molecules within the fruitbody are being broken ad carried away from the molecules in the air

However, obviously faster movement of air by a fan will speed these things up..........

breaking the mushrooms in half, may (in some peoples opinions) allow for potential magic loss from too much oxidation

and hey---you dont have to dry anything if ya dont want----- Nice work, enjoy
