A small experimental project

He was looking for a way to reduce the steps in a bulk sub grow. He simmered straw and verm then added dry cream of wheat. He thin stuck that into a tupperware quart cup and sterilized in the pc for 90 minutes. He then injected cloned sa myc from a lc. That took about 1.5 months to completely colonize so he began neglecting it and he actually forgot about it. He decided that grain spawning, at least to straw, is still the best way.

Anyway he checked on things the other day and found this. This is a quart tupperware cup. The mouth is slightly bigger than a Karr wide mouth jar.

He said that the only light it got was very brief about once a week just long enough so he could look at it.

One fruit and one abort. No side pins.

My guess for the lone fruit is because the mycelium was thinking fruit or die so it gathered all of its energy to make one beautiful fruitbody for which to carry on the life force

Dial8, I am thinking manure or straw, verm, mixed with both whole grains and "flour" grains like your cream o wheat would colonize much quicker. Those containers are really cool, I like your little experiment!
