PESA and Texans monotub

Hehe, i wanted to see how long a Qt jar would colonize without an external heat source, other than keeping it in a closed box insulated with blankets. two months later they were colonized. A LOT slower than without a heat source, why? i dont know, just was too lazy and needed a break from them, you know?

the casing on the right are the texans at week 2. again no incubator was used except just keeping it covered.
the casing on the left are PESA, its at week 1 1/2.

I've done the no heat source thing,
sometimes its nice to have an experiment
going and no rush to check on it that often.

My first cultivated and dried Texans, thanks to the mushroom gods.

The casings side by side, notice the difference in pin formation, i've got to wonder if its the strain or the substrate.

me havent seen a strain like this one, but its a pacific strain right?
how much a difference do south central american shrooms be from pacific ones ? (from hawaii for example)
