    A Lil Invitro

Hey all I've been posting a whole lot lately in the grassroots area. My 1st love though is still mushrooms and I just thought that I'd share with you my latest little project.

When I produce I usually keep it small, because it's just me who partakes these days. Used to be my wife and I but my wife encountered Ecuadorian strain a couple of years ago and has not been back to fantasy land since.

Anyhow I found these nice little ball plastic canning jars at Walmart with screw tops and I proceeded to fix up some PF style jars. Knocked up with some Texas isolate water and put it in my bookshelf. Twenty days later and my 1st invitro flush is here. Enjoy the pic.

    Sharkie, Great looking invetro
when you do an invetro like the pic do you give any FAE ?
SWIM has developed a habit of rolling down the invetro style bags to force air out and then stretch them back out so they can slowly draw in fresh air. Or SWIM will install poly vents for FAE. Bad Idea? I read there are fewer contams when there is frequent FAE.

Is there a special characteristic of the Ecuadorian strain?

There is not really any fresh air exchange other than a hole in the lid. This is mostly a neglect by me because I have been extra busy lately and am out of bulk subs.

Air exchange is very important to the logevity of your sub and yes stifling suffocated subs seem to contam more readily than aired out substrates. It seems like Tex strain is always sure fire though, I've enevr ever had a problem with the Tex strain.

I've grown invitro in jars and the only thing I ever did with it was flip the jar upside down and expose to light. I never did any FAE. However, I have a 5 lb mycobag growing right now with hawaiians. There is a filter patch on it but I don't force any air. I just leave it the way it is, and the result is big, long fat stems with a cap that's about 2 cm across. I would probably recommend some kind of FAE if you want to print them.

since i'd really love to clean up my jar situation and go plastic - were these located near the other ball products (spare lids+rings, canning jars, candle jars), or somewhere else? I've had a hard time finding anything plastic and pcable, and not really interested in an online order. Seems like I didnt at all see these in the ball/canning section last time i was at wallymart

Neglect or not that is a good looking tub you have there.
That is a TEK I should try so I can learn patience, or at least stop poking my experiments.
