3 strains, 3 methods grow log

ok so this is my first grow and i thought id keep a log of it.

first off, PF tek cakes (rye flour/water/verm 1:1:3)
4 innoculted with amazonian, 3 innoculated with orissa and 4 innoculated with B+.
all innoculated with multispore syringes

1 amazonian -- 2 orissa -- 3 B+ -- (all 7 days after innoculation

2nd lot of cakes are organic brown rice/water

2 innoculated with orrisa 2 innoculated with B+

1 B+ --- 2 orissa (7 days after innoculation)

and finally some popcorn. soaked for an hour, simmered for an hour, towel dried, jared then PC'd.

again 2 of B+ and 2 of orissa (7 days again)

these pics are now all 14 days after innoculation

start with the rye flour/verm

1 amazonian --- 2 B+ --- 3 orissa

all substrates were PC'd for 70 - 90 mins.

tinfoil lids donot have tape over innoculation holes to allow some FAE

incubation temperature is between 78f - 83f

corn has been tumbled/rotated every couple of days so far

i also have a LC (honey/water) innoculated with orissa going too, but not finding it too easy to get pics of that

might be spores clinging to the mycelia
but often when i see such the lc is bad too.

don't do that.
slows you down,
shaking should only be done once, maybe twice, during the entire process-
not every couple days.

thought it might be spores too, the syringe was lumpy as was from a FOAF. will keep seperate and keep an eye on it for probs.

right no more turning jars then!

Hippie is is correct about only shaking any grain jars only two or three times during colonization!

I shake my wild bird seed jars after PC and after inoculation. Also, at 25, 50, and 75% during colonization. I have learned that is you shake grain jars any more than this it takes longer for the MYC network to rebuild itself, of course slowing the process of full colonization down or has even stalled the MYC growth. Which then I have had to use them with the MYC that has grown which still has worked for me, but then it also has slowed down the MYC recolonization growth network in my casings.

I have noticed that the tyvek filter will become clogged from to much shaking of the jars, because MYC will grow in the filter itself and stop the air exchange needed to obtain full colonization!

this is the popcorn 11 days in now.

hasnt been shaken in anyway since i was told it would slow the growth down.

cant believe the difference in colonization speed or the difference in the appearance of the mycelium!!
