B+ in Dubs

Ok, well, I've already started a thread on my FOAF's B+ dub tub grow here (Dub tub questions), where I was under the impression something was wrong with his grow. Au contraire! All 3 tubs began to pin, and I urged my FOAF to get a camera so that I might log the grow here. Yesterday he purchased a camera, and I can now share pics with you all.

The one downer: vert. Damnit. FOAF's going to have to be more careful!

Well, I guess that's all I have to say, enjoy the pics, especially the tub that is clearly ahead of the other two. The first three pics are from yesterday, the others are from today.

Okay, already ready for an update!

Here's today's progress, and some harvest photos. My FOAF's babies done growed up!

Oh, and since FOAF has to dry them, he figured he'd show his dryer, as he thinks it's pretty simple to make, and should be very effective.

These three are of the base, which is 2x4's cut at 45's at 24", on top of 4x4's cut to like 6". Finally, FOAF used a cheapy stapler to secure metal screen to the top.

The next two show the top piece. It is made of 1x4's cut at 45's at 24". FOAF then attached screen to one side and wrapped it around to attempt to get it good and tight, and he stapled.

Air filter goes on:

Bam, he'll let that bitch sit for about 12 hours, and he believes he'll have some crispy shrooms ready to go into a paper bag, and then into the fridge.

How long does it take to dry your shrooms like that. Im looking for a easy cheap way like that.

LOL, we shall find out: though my FOAF built it 3 years ago, he's never had occasion to use it until now. He put them on at 6PM, and plans on hopefully removing them at 7AM when he gets up.

For MrMyc: okay, so FOAF opened up the dryer this morning, and the shrooms were far from totally dry. First, they were in a non-air-conditioned room, so he moved them to a room that was air conditioned; the first room was very humid, he tells me. Also, he's noticed the furnace filter really slows the air flow down; he's thinking of taking it off, or at least going to a standard filter, rather than the current allergen filter he's using. He liked the idea of cleaning the air and drying shrooms at the same time, but he likes the idea of having dry shrooms quickly even more.

K, well, it's been a while and I've been busy, but my FOAF has dutifully been logging progress, so I figured I'd do an update.

First and foremost: My FOAF dried and weighed the first flush. He got about a QP!

Here's a pic he took of one of the last great fruits of the first flush:

Here's Bin 1's second flush. As you can see, it's second flush is well behind the other two ATM:

Here's Bin 2. That cluster in the middle is awesome; it's damn near hitting the top of the dub-tub. My FOAF is wondering if it's okay to clone a mushie with vert. If so, he's thinking seriously about cloning the tall one:

Despite being behind in the first flush, Bin 3's second flush is ahead of the other two; and, well, it's badass:

And FOAF also did a side-project with some leftover popcorn. It's a shoebox-sized dub tub, also verm/coir rez-effected. He did this mainly to get a vert-free clone sample, but, alas, it got vert as well. Anyhow, it's blowing up like effin' mad:

There's many knots on the surface if you get a good and close look, my FOAF tells me.

My FOAF's been very happy with this, his first grow in 3 years. He's very grateful to all who have added so much valuable information to the forum, and to all those who patiently answered the questions I posted here on his behalf.

Hey, figured I'd update this thread. FOAF sent me this pic of the third flush of the bin that's the furthest along.

The first pic is normal, and the second one is of the same thing, but FOAF didn't hold the camera still, and it produced an almost perfect "shroom-vision."
