The compost is straw & donkey poo. The casing Is peat with gypsum added for ph.

The mycelia is a carry over from a kit I had several months ago transfered to this new compost.

All the pins in this one are clustered in one spot. I'm not sure why but I will post more when if I figure it out.

Cool! My isolate should be ready for bulk substrate in a week or so. I'm going to use a big'ole tray for this one.

Those are nice and white! Mine are really brown.

Just make sure that rhizomorphs are clearly seen across all of the casing before introducing to fruiting conditions. That will improve your initial pin set.

Yeah! They taste so much better than
the store bought stuff. Almost buttery,
Oh So Good! the wife begs me to grow
them all year round but temps get to
high here to grow the Agricus bisporus.
I haven't tried the warm weather buttons yet.
Maybe this summer. As I mentioned this spawn
came from a grow that never took off, temps
were too high as I had some cubies in the same
location. Live and learn.

Stupidity should be painful-
it decreases the learning curve.

This shroom tends to brown up when grown in light. so I keep them very dimly lit almost dark.

I am now getting pins showing more spread out but still a main cluster pin set. Me thinks it got too dry around the edges.
