Yep,..this is the second year and in the past Spring,I have put a new layer of woodchips on the old one,..the layer was about 10cm thick. I have also put more chips one the outside of the layer, making it about one meter wider. But half of the patch is now in full Sun,so at that part of the patch I probably won't see any pins.

Pulling chair back up.... I remember seeing those pics of last years flush. That is what made me get an azure print. Still waiting for it to get cold though. Its good though, the myc is getting a chance to colonize a bit more. I am slightly envious of your pinset ![]() Can't wait to see this one when it peaks. |

Looking very nice again! Do they fruit on the other side of the fence? Kind of looks like it in that picture... Could you add a small layer of potting soil and grass to the part that gets sun, or would it completely destroy the stealth aspect? Those ferns seem like a nice idea, low cover plants probably hold in the humidity better. These pictures are excellent

Well,It's a good idea adding potting soil and grass, but i don't want any weeds growing in the summer time, when the shrooms are gone. What I did last Summer is.., putting alot more ferns all over the area, between the woodclippings. You cannot see it yet, maybe next year when they more mature..,but there are atleast 30 ferns in there... I plan on adding more ferns every year.

Thanks for the inspiration Space. I got excited by this thread and went out and checked my Azures. One bed/culture was covered in mycelium but not fruiting. The other had a bunch of pins ! Blessings on the Azures

It's really quite amazing that these species fruit within a close time frame across the world. Nightflyer's P. Cyans started pinning within 2 days of mine. He's in Central Europe i'm in Canada. Then NF reports that Cyanofriscosa's are going off , so I go check mine and there they are. Next you report your Azures have appeared and so I check mine and magically they appear. Even though I bet our weather , altitude , temps are all different but they still fruit simultaneously on two continents.

Maybe it also has something to do with the days getting shorter. Most normal plants know when the days are getting shorter, shroom know it probably too...?!

QUANTUM NONLOCAL COMMUNICATION On a deeper level of reality, time and space as limiting factors are irrelevant. All things are interconnected. http://www.braungardt.com/Physics/Qu...onlocality.htm That means, that Hyph's azure mycelium in Canada "knows" exactly what spacecake's azure mycelium in Europe (and all other azure mycelia around the world) is doing and vice versa. And if the environmental and biological parameters (Temperature, humidity, mycelium mass) are ok, they all fruit at the same time.

mine either. i think with my patch its probably more a case of my mycelium network not having what it needs to fruit rather than him not hearing the call. ![]()

I'm curious to know what the growth conditions were for all those with fruitiing beds. Hyph, Spacecake, Nightflyer ?? Maybe you could all put a little info on temps/humidity(rain)/ in the week running up to your pins appearing. Did you all have a nice wet low spell below 10 oC for at least 2-3 days?? ( this has not happened in my area yet ) I think that would allay some of the concern and maybe give a little hope for the non-fruiter's here or put them out of their misery.... such a shame for some quantum theory to come along and tell ya that u missed the boat lolThat would be really cool if you guys could each post the stat's ![]() Cheers |

The last week daytime high was 15 C every day and 7 C at night, drizzle and high relative humidity (70-85%). This week no rain but very foggy. Temps unchanged.

Thats better than what Ive had, its jumped around from 18-9 mostly, couple very short dips but that is all. Rain has been on and off but usually with the warm temps. Ive been watering every 2-3 days anyway, a good 10-15 minute soaking. I can see myc about a cm under the surface so I know its colonized. There may be hope yet ![]() ...and if not, i shall at least enjoy starting a cyan and frisco culture for next year ![]() Cheers NF |

OK, I will pass it on! ![]() No pins here yet, only innumerable rhizomorphs. But the weather is good; I hope for the best.

One week before the pins arrived,it was 17oC on average... Then a sudden drop to about 5 oC at night and 10-12 oC in the daytime. A little rain everyday (10% of the day) Until yesterday, when it got warmer again and dry (13-16 oC night and day)

Thanks for the responses guys, Looks like I just have to wait for the cold to come, rain is not a problem as I can make it rain ![]() Weather forecast says drop in temps and rain next week. Hopefully that means that the myc is spreading out a little more before the "trigga". Fingers crossed.I really wanna drool over my own babies rather than keep on perving at everyone else's. ![]() SpaceCake, you are an inspiration! |

Picture update...! Everything is looking very good ! There are some places were there isn't any growth, but that is probably my fault, because I digged up some wood chips to make place for some ferns. Next Spring,I think I will dig everything up and mix it all...,then place it back. Hopefully the young fern will be bigger, and the shrooms will grow more evenly... Here are the pics !

Maybe,if I stumble on some... But I have add alot of chips this year, that can get me going for a year or two more. I am going to mix everything up,what I now have there. Maybe that will give me an even better flush.

I ask because has 2 small patches with azu ( 20*20 cm, 15 cm deep, 5 cm thin of casing). I waiting but small hope to see pinning. So think, what is the best: 1. Delete old casing from patch, add soacked chips on top and each side, add 3 cm of forest casing 2. Exstract healthy myc from patch, mix with 3-5 volumes of soacked chips, make new patch wits forest casing | |
