    6th Flush of B+

Well it went its course. Here are 20 images from the Sixth flush of B+.

There was a small 7th flush with only five mushrooms, one of them 11 inches high with a 3" inch in diameter cap.

Unfortunately I deleted the images while attempting to move them from the disc to the cd-rom.

So here are the 6th LFush:

    6th Flush - Day 71 - 7 Images:

Well while this growth was from a spore print rather than form a clone of a petri dish pinner, we did not get an abundant amount of shrooms.

The first flush gave a yield of 19 mushrooms. We never weight the amount of the harvested mushrooms, although we sometimes we do weigh a single specimen which shows a large amount of a fruiting body.

What all is in the substrate? It looks pretty complex. Way to go on that many flushes though. Are you running a hepa system for the fruiting chamber/room? I rarely make it past 2 or 3 anymore before some green comes around...I accidentally opened up a bin of it a while back and it's still lingering around I guess.

Grown from a spore print rather than from a clone . A very poor experiment since I always do better when I grow from a clone.

Obtained from a print and the spawn took 9 days to colonize a 1-pound bag of rye berry seed. The seed was then mixed with five pounds of horse manure with crushed hickory nutshells and pasteurized wheat straw to produce 6 flushes in a 71 day period. Plus an extra 7th which was insignificant.

Yes but it was not a large flush of any of then except the first flush which had quite a few, but not spectacular.
    1st, 2nd and 3rd Flush B +:

    4th Flush B +:

    5th flush B +:

If you go to my site at:

    cultindex1

There are several strains growing here, I think one other one here had 7 flushes but i cannot recall which one. You might find them interesting.

Crushed hickory nutshells eh? Any particular reason for those?
