As you can tell I'm a fan of flower photos, I just like to photograph them.

I'll give the specs on photos if folks really want to know what settings were used.

These were all taken with a point and shoot - Canon S2 IS.

The first two, i don't know. It's a flowering tree.

The last pic is a Bradford Pear Tree.

Here is a couple (from my old digital, it sucked ass) that turned out, from a trip to The Henry Ford Museum In Dearborn Michigan. The first two are from a model train display they had running. The second two are from the first north pole trip, note the name on the plane.

These birds are nervous cuz of gators and golfers. This shot is with a 300MM lense. It took awhile to get this shot..luckily there was a blanket, food, some wine a doobie to accompany the wait.

been lost in the back country for a while no computerdora out there, heres a shot to keep the vibe going sorry my lens was a little dirty i got about 6 more months out there and i should be back to stay wish me luck

hello,

i would like to share some lovely pics taken yesterday on a rocky coast somewhere in california....

i don't know what settings i used (i did use micro setting for the flower), but the camera is Canon Powershot A630. quite a fantastic camera.

ok, I'll tell you. It's my a picture of my belly, if I bend over a little and tighten the muscles this is what it looks like

I was surprised myself when I saw how disgusting I can look.
The photo was inspired by Dave Cunninghams "rubber jonny".

inspired me to dig out some old darkroom prints,
back when all film was rolled, developed and printed by ourselves

darkroom reverse printing of a statue. ricoh 35mm slr

action shot blurry wolf-face. pentax 35mm slr

wannabe ghost double exposure with enlarger

time lapse heat lightning. 35mm pentax slr. 5 min exposure

non darkroom print - had to have this one printed by the pros..

I like seeing other peoples photos, I got a few really nice ones when my wife and I visited San Francisco. The Conservatory of Flowers was really nice.

Heres a couple Ive got.
The first one is not a great picture, but rare. (or so I think)
I walked outside late one night, and I see a glowing spec on the ground, I gently dug up the dirt and this is what it was. Anyone know their bugs?

1,2,3,4 ,6 are taken with a Sony Cybershot.
5th Cannon Powershot g3

the rest of em, were shot with 35 millimeter nikon f-something
Scanned into a digital format, and cropped.

Ive got more, taken with a nikon d-80, but i dont have time to scale them down right now.

The firstone from sedona is the place i was working for. (and living)
Second one, Is Cathedral rock, thrd one is Bell Rock...

Those are 'glow worms/bugs'. She's an adult female beetle. You found them in the grass right? or on the ground at least? They are rare amongst beetles in that the females are sexually mature but retains the physical form of a juvenile/larva. I believe only the females glow as well, in order to attract the males which look like regular beetles and are flying around looking for a chick to land next to I guess...

I found some around here a while back and keyed them out with my handy dandy field guide... I'll look it back up and see if I missed anything.

No it was a cypress and it was in a burn barrel, and it was specifically grown for the purpose of being a Christmas tree. I dont get things from santa , I have 3 kids and get to see their eyes light up on that morning
