Yesterday I spent the day at the Detroit Institute Of Art (DIA) We went for an exhibit on loan from Ohio, named 'Monet to Dali' I was not pleased with the exhibit, but always love spending time walking the rest of the museum, as it's an incredible collection. Not the easiest place to shoot as you need some seriously fast glass. I really need to go back when it's not too busy and set this shot up better. I just love the emotion of the bodies. ![]() I need help remembering the name of this little god. The story said that this god brought Vishna to create the Universe... But totally forgot the name. Bronze from 10th - 11th century. ![]() Caged Brain. The piece was behind glass making this a challenging composition. Designed around 1900, this piece really makes the abstract seem commonplace.

Something fun I was working on today. Still have a long way to go on this piece, but I think it's going to turn into something really cool!

Some very nice Black and White you have there Psoulocybe. No photograph has more emotion than a black and white photograph in my opinion, they just have a feel about them that you just can not capture with a colour photo.

I took these on a aerial tram viewpoint station in Texas in the mountains. They are through the scope of one of those quarter viewpoint stations. They're of the flag in Mexico. From the United States. I thought they were really neat. Enjoy! |

Mahi, those are awesome! Very muted and emotional. Something a little more abstract, this is a exposure stacking of 7 shots. Abstract, and time consuming, but I love working on this series. ![]() My new Sigma 14mm f3.5 is a blast, and I'm excited to do some classic landscape work with it this spring... and it's going to rock the geometric abstracts as it has almost no barrel distortion for it's length.

Wow, this thread is Sweet! So many incredible pics. Mahi, those pics seem so dream like, like your dog is leading you somewhere. Sure he was! And as much as it seemed like I hated growing up in MI, it's nice to see parts of home (sometimes ). Love the nature and storm pics. I guess I'll have to see if I have any that qualify as good enough, because, Wow!!

Alright, found a few that might get me started. These are a little old, but if people continue to add, I'll certainly have more/new throughout the summer. 4hr delay - 4 extra innings - Game ended around 4am! Ausable River, Northern Michigan. An Incredible time!! An Autumn Fun Guy Camping Trip is Definitely already planned!!!! (1st,3rd+4th from site, middle pic 50 yards or so from campsite(neighboring sites were easily 2-300yds away(weed+distance=?))). Also, I know this is a more "Pro" style thread and obviously telling by the horizons, pics are a tad slanted(weed+camera=that)! ![]() Going down was fun as Hell!! Going up was why I only did it once! ![]() ![]() Gotta have a storm pic. Brought a hard rain&thunder! Luckily in the end I had a dry tent.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | First time buying a camera need guidance hello all im looking to get in to photography soon. im just saving up for a camera. ive been told that any thing under the region of 200/300 £$ is not worth it the money. i plan on doing a lot off research before going out and buying anything as this is a big investment for me fanatically at this moment in time. Im hoping to start a photo diary off my day to day life, so it will definitely have to be durable. i want to be able to take pictures at a moments notice and not have to faf around with any complicated button configuration or awkward menus like my mums which I hate using because without fail some how I will manage to knock a button and neither me nor my mum know how to set it. Finally is there any other things that you would advise a beginner who is serious about photography to look out for when purchasing his first camera. can any one p,m me with some tips on what to look for and especially what to avoid. thanks

You should do some reading and see what kind of camera's are out there on the market. I could tell you what a good camera's is,but it's best if you do a little reading first. You can only spend your money ones,I always say.... Two years ago I had an Nikon Coolpix8800,a very good camera, that is easy to handle(take pics),but a little big in it's size. Maybe you don't want big, but small ? There are some interesting reports aboud camera's all over the internet, look 'em up if you have the time...

Beunesos Panoramica mi amiga's, nen amigo's. I have not an Idea what that is really saying, but if I was spanish that's how I would describe this thread...magnifico! jose wants to play. I photograph nature and animals, some people, but mostly my equipment is used in the modifier room for photographing experimental natural doppler light phenomenon. My best digital SLR results, for me anyway was Sony / Zeiss optics. Even after all these years I have never have changed to any thing else but Zeiss; my beater 707 cybertron is going on ten years old, turned it over 5 times, it has over 50,000 photographs now taken, and chugging right along, keeping track is a by date number rather than a dsc number any more. So lemme catch up a little.
