Hi. I know that some topia members are into photography and i was thinking that perhaps we could make a thread where we could share some of our work or help each other do better photography.

    Its just a thought.

I'm in. The kitten and I specialize in old houses, barns, mansions, etc....

We have a collection of B&W prints we made, in stark black frames, quite impressive if I do say so myself.

    Thumbs up

Sounds good to me too, I'm also an amateur photographer.

I would like to suggest that the actual Photography Club threads be created in Lifestyles, seems the appropriate place for non mycology hobbies.

I would also be interested in this. My composition isn't too bad, but i really suck at lighting techniques.

Mycobri, I'm getting ready to purchase a digital SLR also, just not quite ready to make the move yet.

I currently have a point and shoot (about 3-4 yrs. old) ~ Cannon Powershot S2 IS ~ and for the record, love this camera. Its taught me a lot about digital photography, but I'm ready to step up a level and really start working on a digital SLR camera. I need to learn a lot I think

I'd also like to discuss opinions on printers. I'd like to start printing some of my digital photos and want to get a decent printer. So anyone who has any info on decent photo printers I'd like to hear thoughts.

Maybe we can Ask Hip for a Sub-board which would allow All kinds of photos, instead of having a thread that might inevitably die after so many weeks or months. But of course their would be rules like:

No sexual photos (artistic nudes are OK but nothing explicitly pornographic)
    No stealing others photos
Please use photos that are your own

pretty basic rules I would say unless you guys have something else to add, we want to keep this as open minded as we all are.

I'm not sure a whole new forum would be needed.

We might be able to make a couple sticky threads here in Lifestyle Forum - say one for sharing photos, and one for equipment discussions.

I like the sticky, I just hate it when a forum ends up having 10000 stickys makes a forum look cluttered, and difficult to navigate. I like the Sticky idea better. Any one apposed to Edited works (Photo shop?)

My new bullet belt I got in recently, 16. cal 34 inches or so Nickle with Brass Tips. Just a link of Bullets worn as a belt. (goes with the leather jacket with studs, and 16 eye boots hehe)

Wow those are nice pics. How about sharing the camera settings when posting images, like Focal Lenght, ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture, and maybe Camera + Lens Combination, Edited, Unedited?

    Just a thought.

Our Nikon D300 Arrived a few days ago. As soon as I learn how to use it ill post pics.

The bullet Belt picture is Edited, B&W saturated some colors more than others to give it a glow, most of it was done with the flash already any ways.

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 54 mm ISO Speed: 400

Here's a couple from when I was UP North (Michigan). The first is this bunch of wild turkeys that come up and feed out of my grandmas yard every day, and the second is a bunch of hugh crows in a tree hanging out by the house. Last some winter pics over new years at my grandmas.
