    Sand Tray


    A fun test for shits and giggles!

    It is pastuerized hpoo/coir/verm/straw spawned with WBS into a cat litter tray and then put into a large gusseted bag (aka sandbag) to fit the tray. Then i simply cut some slits in the plastic when it was "time". The harvest was good.

    I didnt open the bag and fan it, just the slits. No fans were used either. Occasionally I would "waft" the top of the bag up a little to see in better which probably pushes some air through it but I only did that a few times. No more polyfil or anything in sandbags! Yay!

    That is a nice flush and carefree method. Easier picking and the bag can be changed every flush.

    hey Sandman, have any recommendations on where you can buy the poly bags you use? Ive found them in large bulk but I'm not going to need 1000 bags. If you could give me any insight, itd be appreciated!

    you can get the bags at any of the commercial Shipping Supply warehouses.


    Heres a couple of other trays that did well.
