Costa Rican on coir

Just thought I'd share some pics of my grow, they are wbs costa rican spawned to straight coir.....

Yeah it was from a multi spore, with the coir all I did was give it the corret moisture content by adding hot tap water. It was set aside until most of the water was soaked up and then drained and broken up. The wbs was then mixed with the coir and allowed to colonize. Normally I would put a vermiculite casing on top of that but didn't have any so I substituted it with another layer of coir. Worked out great, so far I have gotten 2 and a half ounces dried off of them. Hoping for another couple of ounce but well see.........

For my next grow I'll be doing penis evvy uncut, puerto rican, treasure coast, and hawiian monotubs. I'll post the grow step by step. Hope you guys like it....

Just thought I'd give an update on how the second flush of one of my coir casing produced.... Hope everyone likes the pictures.....

Very nice! Did you pasteurize that coir or not? And if so what method did you use? Thanks for the nice pictures, well done!

With the coir all I did was let it soak for 30 min. in hot water then I drained it and put in my container. Mixed the wbs with the coir and put tin foil over... Once the top layer was colonized I put another moist layer of coir on top of the colonized substrate (ran out of vermiculite). The trays were then put in the fruiting chamber......

Nice did you just layer the coir with the birdseed? and did you pasturize the coir before? Im waiting on some rye berries as I sit and see yours. I would love to have some come out half as nice as what yours look like. Hats off.
