maksud LEVEL +10 - IN GOOD STANDING
P.Tropicalis (through manure to the stars)

I a long ago knew about magic mushrooms. Finally, possibility to get an my first sporeprint appeared. I do not have the special skills in growing of mushrooms, but it is not difficult what to repair a bicycle.

So, I used mix of horse manure/hay/perlite/lime in a proportion 1/1/1/ few
Substrate was sterilized in a flow 45 minutes and inoculated with wheat spawn. After 1.5 week Substrate was fully colonized by mycelium. In quality casing I used perlite (0.3-0.5cm)

By colonization and by growth of pins/bodies a temperature was the same +18-21 deg С.

So, watch
I did not attain clear flushes, little pins appeared regularly

I was visited by an idea to grow pans as the cubie.
I put mixed horse manure/hay/vermiculite (1/1/1) in plastic jar, closed by home-made lid-filter and inoculated by spore syringe (multispore).
After 3-4 days I saw the first vital sparks in a kind of mycelium
Fully colonized substrate was cased by mix of caktus soil/coconut fibre/lime (1/1/ few) - 0.3cm deep.
Another jar wos cased only by vermiculite - 0.3cm deep.

small part of harvest

and more nice prints

looks like they benefited from the smaller casing as opposed to the larger.

in those first pics it looks as if you have a black mold (hard to tell) and that is probably the reason for the small flush.

it also looks like the plain vermiculite as a casing layer was the most beneficial.

either way, it's nice to see someone growing this strain.

keep it up

Thanx
In first pix I used pelite, because verm is not accessible. Later I find verm.
Verm much more hold water then perlite. Casing by soil/coco also works fine for me. Don`t use casing more than 1 cm deep. I tried to do no more than 0,5 sm

Nice pictures. :-) I'm about to start a Panaeolus Cambodgiensis grow myself, which I guess shouldn't be that different a strain, so I'm very interested. You had automatic fresh air exchange and automatic humidification also? If you'd elaborate a few words on that part of the setup I'd be much obliged!

No, only hand work, 5-6 ventilation per day, after ventilation I used air pump for short period (5-10 min).
Om shanti, what else detals you need?

Thanks, Maksud. I though you had an auto FAE setup because of the hose going in, and asked because I am trying to gather some info about this for a setup of my own.

From what I've read it's amazing that you were able to grow Pans at such low temperatures. Was that by choice or necessity?

By the way, love the title of the thread - "Through manure to the stars." Sounds absolutely crazy and beautiful at the same time! :-)

My pans live at room temperature(18-21cels ),maybe if used time comtroller connected with airpump & aquarium heater, total ammount of mushеs can be bigger. For me that harvest is optimum expended efforts.

Airpump > airstone > glass of water. "Sustem" worked 5-6 time per day, for 5 min

You can turn that airstone on for 24 hours a day, they really like more fresh air and humidity.

I think, 24 hours - work can determine much more humidity then pans need. My grovebox 23*20*35 cm, 1 hour work of pump - bodies aborted .
empiric methods as the way of room evolution

That was probably some other problem...my terrarium always runs at 100% humidity and 24 hours of FAE.
And the shroom in that terrarium are looking much better and are more plentyfull.
It's also a good idea to add a aquarium heater with that bubbler.
