![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | SWIM's first grow SWIM has had cakes in FC for 7 days now and is worried that the moisture on the cakes will cause them to abort or overlay. SWIM does not mist the chamber but instead has TIT with aquarium heater under internal tub with moist perlite (to keeep temps at constant 75F and RH 95% to 100%). SWIM also Fans tub 3 to 4 times per day along with Aquarium pump running 24/7 on lowest setting. Is SWIM on track or has he set himself up for a disappointment, thinking he should have seen Pins by now?

Your cakes look good, and there appears to be some pre-pinning going on from your pics. As far as standing water, just wipe it off when you see it--it can cause aborts and invites contams. Seven days is not very long for cakes in a fruiting environment. Just be patient, as it can take up to two weeks from birth to see your first pins. And don't worry about overlay with cakes: That is what they are. Good luck!
