![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | belated B+ brf cakes
FOAF would've uploaded pics sooner but we've been camera-less for some time now. Did a basic BRF tek with b+. didn't use a pressure cooker, just boiled the jars. real simple perlite fruiting chamber, no special light or air flow. A true closet setup also real simple drying chamber, 2 cups of "damprid" with a wire mesh over the top, inside a bedside stand Have had the first flush, which was good but could have been better. Included some fresh and dried pics (not complete, much sampling was done by the time I got the camera) Now I've dunked the cakes is a big bowl full of tap water in the fridge, pulled them out and placed into a freshly cleaned fruiting chamber with a new layer of perlite, as you can see they're just starting to pin again!giving them an hour or 2 of light and 1 fanning per day. Have stopped misting on advice from the forums. Walls are staying pretty moist We'll see how it goes from here. Thanks for all the help ![]() |

double ended most of them and left a few just to compare. Figure you shouldn't pile verm. on top of primordia. I really like the early pinning stages, looks so alien the second from the left is growing backwards right off the cake. Never seen anything like that before |

Every time you look inside that FC, the walls should be moist - running - with condensation. I advise misting those walls when you fan (don't mist the cakes, just cover the walls with microdroplets). I also suggest fanning more than once a day. Long and skinny shrooms with small caps generally mean too much CO2 (and not enough fresh air). A DEC wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Congrats on success, regardless!
