mutant growth??

First time growing ecuadorians and BHT's. I accidently dunked a few cakes for about 26 hours so I didn't roll them like the others. On all the overdunked cakes i have no pins after 8 days but a weird looking mutant growth, too big to be knots but not quite sure what they are. I also have similar, much smaller growth on two of the rolled cakes, which also have very healthy looking pins on them. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I don't think the 26 hour dunk would cause that, but i'm a noob. I've dunked mine for longer than 26 hours with no ill effects. One time I accidently left a pin on the cake (didn't see it, or it popped up during the dunk) and I had a water logged boomer growing during the dunk. Must have had a lot of 02 in the water or something....

Rolling wouldn't have hurt anything....IMO DEC (double end cased) is better for cakes

Anyways, I don't know what's going on with yours, but they def. look weird. Sorry I can't be of better help

does happen from time to time in pf cakes. you can eat them with no problems. actually i find those blobous things to be very potent. harvest it. then see if it fruits again. if not dunk it again. and rebirth.

Yup looks like cubensis sclerotia tissue, tho very dark, i got a bunch of em when i colonized some jars in a cold basement and let em sit after colonized for a while

I do as well,once ate about 3 g's of wet blobous things(whole cake was a mutant

) and almost lost my fucking mind or what is left of it

(strain was BM)(!!

Thanks a bunch everyone, harvested the cakes yesterday, spilt 5 grams of wet mutants with a friend and had quite the trip. Thanks again for all the responses.
