![]() | Is this considered big ?
Heyas, This is one of the larger fruits out of the third flush of my acadian coast strain casing done with just coir and vermiculite. I've incubated the mycellium at a near room temps, and while it takes longer the potency and flushes have been AMAZING. (at least to me, I'm kinda new so getting anything makes me happy. I've been having contamination problems with trich on about half of my casings but thats because I'm thinking I was reusing the containers I use for casing. More pics of the whole setup to follow when I'm feeling a bit better (car accident, doped up and hurts to even type) Btw penny and 7.62x54r cartridge for size comparison. the fruit is also really dense it sems. Main question is this larger than normal for Arcadian Coast strain ? Or am I just doing something right ? |

It's not amazingly big, but it's pretty hefty. You won't be getting anything like that with a PR or something similar. What's it weigh?

I cant seem to locate my scale atm (probably due what the doc precribed me). But I have another growing that looks like its going to be about as big if not bigger. (This third flush seems weird, theres 4 or 5 huge ones growing from the sides where the casing pulled away from the container due to less than perfect humidity) and from trying that whole scraping things I'm seeing more pins form on what I thought what dead casings. I'll have my honey find the scale when she comes home from her halloween party and get a dried weight and weigh the next big one when its ready to be picked. |

Thanks ! Hopefully my next run (pressure cooking jars of rye now) works out even better, I think I'm going to try a monotub and see how that works. So far I've only ever grown on rye than cased with either 50/50 or coir/verm. Oh and Eatyualive: The cartridge is Bulgarian heavy ball, its not so accurate in my m44 or 91/30 but it was dirt cheap |
