Just wondering how long people have grown without getting caught. If you have been caught please share the story how, so that others won't fall into the same trap.

10 yrs exactly...haven't been caught.

The key to not getting caught, is not becoming your neighborhood drug dealer. Grow mushrooms to do them yourself and to share with close friends(who think you know a guy).....not to make a profit. Once you have $$$ in mind, it's only a matter of time.

I started growing pot for personal use when I was about 15. I took 3 years of horticulture as an elective in middle school and it payed off So I have grown weed off and on for about 25 years but only have grown shrooms off and on for about 10 years and the first couple of years were trial and error with a lot of failures. The longest running weed grow I ever did was about 3 years growing hydro. Now I only grow on rare occasions when my head stash starts to get low.

about 15 years indoors mycologically speaking. Longer outdoors if ya count stealing turf from a park or school lol. Of course that was more or less just moving what mother nature was growing already. MJ - damn now that's a long time! Jr High......(tco will return after this flashback)

ive only been at it a couple months & "low profile" would be an understatement. i just want to have my own experience w/ a guide who ive already picked out. i thought making my own would be safer than asking around to buy (since i really dont know anybody who would know what the heck i was even talking about). but then, i must admit, i became fascinated with the technical aspects of the hobby and i was hooked!

i have wondered about it though. anyone know what they would likely do to a person who has otherwise been squeeky clean their whole life and is not "in buisness?"

my first attemp was in high school many moons ago (20yrs)..got a book with a print, i think it was amazon anyways i got too excited and ruin it,,, and recently in 2yrs took in the hobby again. however mushroom in general i have been cultivating 7 years successfully.

When I was 14 I threw some bagseed around the school courtyard as a joke, if that counts. There were three I think, behind some bushes. Mothers were like 3' tall and about to pre-flower before they got chopped

A over 2 1/2 years. Not been caught but had a near miss last Christmas when my house was broken into, so I moved to the next town over where I work anyway, My first grow was a birthday present for the girlfriend I had had been living with for a couple years at the time. I lost the girl but the hobby stuck. I wish I had more time for it but the last few months have left me working about 70 or more hours a week. My long term plan is to grow edibles full time and leave my current job.and Maybe get the girl back who knows.

myco speakin I experimented with a Bob Harris book and homestead prints (I think)in the late 80's. Early 90's brought the pf revolution, and yeah i gave it another shot then. Took a break from the myco for a while and then I found the OMC and 'Topia. Didnt take long, with all the new info, to get me fired up again.Started some oysters today! I've grown a garden since the mid 80's. A variety of fruits ,flowers, plants,berries,trees, and just about anything else i could find good seeds for. I aint never been in no trouble cause i dont break the law. Though occassionally I bend it a bit.

pretty sure im in it for the long haul i love the mushroom all of them edibles just ones for staring at some that make you stare at stuff they are amazing and literallly what dreams are made same with topia though really you have taught me so much never in a million years did i think i would make dmt the thought never crossed my mind when i took those first few blasts thank you and i lov eyou all

I grew pot off and on for well over 30 years. I grew intensively for about 12 years, did hydro and so on. I dabble with shrooms now and then. No more pot growing for me. I got away with it for a long long time and i figure you can only push your luck for so long. Quit while you are ahead.

The main rule for getting away with it is tell no one. <-- reread that about 40 times until it sinks in. Tell no one, show no one, and give no hints or clues. Dealing is ok if you only deal with people you know very well. And even then you give them a story about how you have this great hookup who does not want anyone to meet them. If you tell your best friend or your girlfriend you are begging for trouble. People who beg for it find it sooner or later. Then they say "I had bad luck" No, they were stupid 99% of the time. That's harsh but true.

I figure if you grow just for personal use, fine. But they are going to bust you just as hard for personal use as if you were selling to a few close friends. The main thing to avoid is having too many plants. If you are busted with over 100 plants it automatically becomes a federal crime with enhanced penalties. There is no early parole from fed prison, you do 85% minimum. There are tricks to keep the number of plants down while keeping production up, like scrog.

I have been trying to grow for three years (keep failing) but this time they are on the way, but I do know a guy who was growing them massivily but he was telling EVERYBODY!!!! What was funny though is when he did get caught the police had to look it up because they didn't know what to charge him with!!

About 6 years now, but it's been a while since I've been able to do anything. It's not consistent for 6 years, though. A couple times a year I throw something together. Since I don't sell, I would just get overrun with them too quickly.

I began growing just this month with assistance from a few, much more knowledgeable friends. We have our jars prepared, and will soon be ready to inject them with spores. Needless to say I'm quite excited! I hope to have some pictures soon...

Not to much, possably just probation. Depends on how much a person was trying to claim as personal.

about 7 to 8 years all together with a lot of non activity in between and never been " " . the only ones who know are the people closest to me and i never sale anyway. i usually end up giving them out for some reason
