Am wondering if anyone out there smokes dmt by themselves. Does anyone believe this might be risky on a spiritual/psycological level??
Is this something that one should only do if they have already broken through at least once??

I usually only do it alone, I dont like other people to stop me breaking through. However I dont suggest anyone to do it alone!

Sitter BS came around only because of Salvia D. There are no sitters are needed, EVER except with SallyD. Sitters destroy the experience and make people freak out BAD.

I always trip alone, especially spice and aya,
but in December i took like 4 g's of rue, then took 125 mg spice orally and 4 g's of dried cubes,
if i didn't have sitters that night it could have been really ugly....
So that experience has kinda made me think twice about really diving in without a sitter.

If you feel like you need to ask, you would do well to have some kind of support your first time, imo . Maybe, someone who loves you ? like a friend or mate. It is important you be comfortable in your environment and can be undisturbed for a half hour or so. So pick a low-traffic area, sit with a friend, smile, and don't forget to hold it as long as you can. I believe it is also worth telling all initiates, its only an illusion that you are not breathing while you having the smoked DMT flash. Do not worry, you are breathing. IME, this is a common exper. , for first timers, to feel like they are not breathing. IMO, this is due to a time dilation that is experienced during the flash. Smoking DMT crystals seem to alter the way we experience/perceive time for a very short duration. This has been confirmed by many initiates. This leads me to wonder, do we use DMT as a (one of many) chemical moderator of the experience of time ? Is spice produced in the brain along with other chems, the method through witch the brain gives time its substance of past and present ?

i wouldn't smoke spice alone. need my sitter just in case something goes wrong while crossing into the other dimension.. ya know. just makes me feel safe and grounded, so i can relax and enjoy the trip. i'd probably be nervous/anxious if i were doing it alone, and that don't make for no good trippin

I smoke spice bi-daily, so yes. Alone. It's hard to find someone who will smoke with me daily or every other day. Also, I know what I can handle and I when i push the fold, I only push it enough to create little creases. NOT RIPS. Most people try to rebel w/ out a cause it and end up screaming gibberish like I did on an accidental dose of 32mg of DOC. Things like that usually end up with complete loss of consciousness and lots of kicking and screaming while being pulled at by strangers. Good thing you're rarely conscious or anything at that sort of a dose. Otherwise, you wouldn't be needing the EMS. I never understood what people think the hospital will do for you... unless you're just completely unresponsive and personally I'd make sure I'd have a BDSM strapped bed if someone lied about something like that again. Not saying I didn't enjoy it, but I'm sure no one around me did. Their is a first time for everyone, a first time when some idiot lays a sheet wrong and sells it as LSD anyways.... But DMT? No sitter no way.

nobody seems to 'get it' and i want to find a way to administer without a needle or pipe thats short-lived because pipe = pussylungs dont get full effects/call it 'ok' (cuz they arent doing it right). same for non-smokers in general with 'weak' lung-power

I've only smoked a couple times, and they were at a buddy's house. I wish I did have the chance to smoke alone. It pisses me off when everyone is looking at me and asking if I'm tripping. No matter how many times I tell people to leave you alone, they still have the strange desire to stare and look at my pupils... Maybe it's just an excuse to look into my dreamy blue eyes, I don't know, but when I'm kicking it with dudes, that's creepy...

One of these days, I'll get the supplies and make my own...

People talking or noises from the world can keep you tied here or suck you back right as you are leaving.
I often like music playing but have to have it playing softly as even a normally great song for Deeming can be distracting and this pulls you away from the experience. I would feel vulnerable around anyone I didn't have 100% faith in and I am mostly solo tripper in all substances. Haven't tried Sally D yet and may not. Both ways. Although I had major concerns due to my ramp-up issues on other entheogens, the assurances I received from friends here allowed me to confidently try it alone.... and I'm glad I did,

When I DID smoke with Frank, it was because it was his first time. I wanted to be there for him.

Although I will probably smoke some more before I attempt breakthrough, I have promised the kitten to wait for her to be there when I attempt that experience.

I have to agree with duaut- it is the sweetest and gentlest I've ever experienced. Even with the HEROIC rip I took last time, the anxiety was minimal, and of such short duration (because it happens SO FAST!) that I hardly noticed.

If I was going to have a "sitter" I would definitely recommend an experienced psychonaut that understands his/her ONLY role there is to prevent bodily injury, and that means keep quiet and let all else just happen.

Actually, after seeing Frank break through, I can't imaging any danger of injury. He just sat there and stared at a point in space for about two minutes, then snapped back to reality...

I kept my mouth shut and stayed very still.

It really is a wonderful thing, and, IMHO, nothing to be concerned or scared about.

I prefer alone by far. I have often found my self coming to after one hell of a journey flailing my arms around and writhing on the ground. Sometimes weeping as well. Kinda embarrassing I suppose if anyone else were there. If I am with others, I never go too far, not ever.

People only need sitters when they smoke salvia thinking "I'm going to get soooo fucked up IT'S LIKE ACID, LOL". I introduced a few people to salvia who had that game plan in mind, and that's how it took them for a ride. I've only smoked salvia alone, and found it to be very pleasant.

many ppl believe they dont need a sitter until they do
ime, specifically for deep high-dose aya
its nice to have someone who can tell you when
youre sticking your hand too far down your throat
or that despite the fact that it feels cool, touching your eyeball is a bad idea
it really helps with the fear of deeply letting go
when you dont have to split some attention off to check your body to see if you are still breathing/ everythings still ok

I get that feeling on shrooms enough, and Salvia. And if she wouldn't do it I wouldn't do it, not sure why? I think it's because I like to experience everything with her

around. When I am alone, it's far easier to disappear out there.

Goes that way with all psychedelics.
You have to take enough and you have to do it alone to see where
it really goes.

Not that I've done much DMT but about half of all my psychedelic experiences are alone, the other half with close friends. Though sometimes I take psychedelics and go out in public. My first breakthrough DMT was alone, and like others have said I find it conducive to deeper experiences.

yes, i prefer smoking spice alone because imo sitters interrupt your break through. an example is mid-trip i can hear the sitters talking in the background and it FREAKS me out to the point where i want to come out of the expierence b4 its over, and we all know what happens when you want to come out early and the glorious spice will not let you.

thats weird, to experience everything with your girl, sounds like some codependent stuff brewing there, but solo! I think its always better solo. We're born solo, we learn how to be solo, and we die solo. This idea that we need someone else, this wanting fro attention, or security in others, its all an illusion. I figure it'd be more fun with CERTAIN friends, carefuly chosen, and sure one could be an awesome girl, but I still think the real work is done solo. The real psychonaut exploration, the real discovery happens alone. And even alone, we are all one, sorta, but for entheogens, I think Mckenna gave good advice- alone in the dark is the best way to experience otherworldly dimensions without interruption, to do it most efficiently IMHO.

Swim tried dmt for the 1st time the other day with a cpl close friends. doing it with others did bring on the feeling of the "Im trippin there not" notion. when later tried solo, it went a lil smoother but was def different. everytime is different with psycedelics and should never be taken as. ive done this a million times...... lol

First blast-off was alone and I fell in love instantly. Took it over to some FOAFs and both felt like they were dying. One did break through and, well, he was more than a little shocked. Now I get the stink eye when I go over with my spice bottle.

Alone feels so special, secretive and meaningful. Sometimes the things I see and the things I understand in hyperspace make me cry when I re-enter this atmosphere. Not a sad cry, just an overwhelming sense of catharsis.

I am a long way off from being that comfortable w/ the spice but I have never seen or experienced anything quite like it. It comforts me to know that it is there if needed.

I say 'no'...I do not believe it's is any riskier in this regard than smoking with others. Any powerful psychedelic experience may be considered 'risky' to some extent - not everyone is 'cut out' for these endeavors, as we all know. Great question! IMO this would be an emphatic 'yes'...The real dangers of spice smoking (alone) come in the form of your typical, everyday accidents. I have nearly set myself on fire once or twice during solo flights, and if a person has never had a breakthrough hit, and there is no one else around to make sure the smoking device and flame are secured, they may be in store for an ugly surprise...anyone who's had a real breakthrough hit knows that when it happens, there is 'nobody home' on this plane of existence to attend their needs - getting burned by a hot glass pipe, or worse, is a real hazard. It takes practice to know how we will respond to this material, and even then it can still surprise us. I love to smoke alone, and once you know about how many hits it takes you-you can respond to the signals your body gives, and know when to lay the pipe down, blow out the candle, etc...Have fun and take care!

Although I had major concerns due to my ramp-up issues on other entheogens, the assurances I received from friends here allowed me to confidently try it alone.... and I'm glad I did, When I DID smoke with Frank, it was because it was his first time. I wanted to be there for him. Although I will probably smoke some more before I attempt breakthrough, I have promised the kitten to wait for her to be there when I attempt that experience. I have to agree with duaut- it is the sweetest and gentlest I've ever experienced. Even with the HEROIC rip I took last time, the anxiety was minimal, and of such short duration (because it happens SO FAST!) that I hardly noticed. If I was going to have a "sitter" I would definitely recommend an experienced psychonaut that understands his/her ONLY role there is to prevent bodily injury, and that means keep quiet and let all else just happen. Actually, after seeing Frank break through, I can't imaging any danger of injury. He just sat there and stared at a point in space for about two minutes, then snapped back to reality... I kept my mouth shut and stayed very still. It really is a wonderful thing, and, IMHO, nothing to be concerned or scared about. __________________ American history is full of heroes; men of great prowess and great renown... Though sometimes I take psychedelics and go out in public. I put on some violin concertos, sit in my sun-room and watch the waves come rolling in on the rocky beach below... HEAVEN. When I visit my parents, my father and I smoke lightly and chat about life, death, cosmic-consciousness, all things trippy My mother likes to put potted flowers around me when she knows I'm tripping! I think its always better solo. We're born solo, we learn how to be solo, and we die solo. This idea that we need someone else, this wanting fro attention, or security in others, its all an illusion. I figure it'd be more fun with CERTAIN friends, carefuly chosen, and sure one could be an awesome girl, but I still think the real work is done solo. The real psychonaut exploration, the real discovery happens alone. And even alone, we are all one, sorta, but for entheogens, I think Mckenna gave good advice- alone in the dark is the best way to experience otherworldly dimensions without interruption, to do it most efficiently IMHO.
