i do believe there is some weird stuff out there.

On ghostbusters on cable tv, some of them psychics are a joke and i think they are a fraud.

AT my folks house when I was a kid, there was a mentally handicapped boy (retarded) that had a seizure in our front yard and ended up dying in my bed.

After that, I used to "SEE'" something out of the corner of my eye all the time. I would also experience items disappearing...then sometimes i would find them in different places.

Also noticed that activity disappeared after we got cats.

I've never seen a ghost and I don't believe I ever will. I do believe however, that the "spirits" of the departed do live on, but as memories in the hearts and minds of those who survive them.

heres a little personal story it kinda falls under this category in a way. Tthis might actually help someone out also. ok ill sum it up pretty fast. but i used to be a alcoholic from the age of 12-31 yrs of age i drank and i drank lots. but as my life was crumbling around me, i was on my way to work one morning, and i asked god for help--i just couldnt quit on my own(ive tried numerous times and failed) but anyway when i asked for help---and btw that was the first and only time i asked him or her for help on this subject, but when i did, i actually for real heard a voice and it said to me, " thats what ive been waiting to hear." and then a peace that no words could ever explain--just overtook me. and i havent had a drink in 8 yrs. i dont think it was a ghost on this part, but i dobelieve in ghost or spirits or whatever. i know for certain that were not alone, people might think im crazy but i actually heard a voice that morning and thats why i yes there is something more than just what we see with our eyes here on earth. sometimes you just gotta believe, because sometimes in your life---hope is all you have

As for ghosts, I believe that some people, mainly those who die suddenly, will leave some sort of energetic imprint in the physical world. When I saw the little girls spirt there was no denying that she was standing right there plain as day she wouldnt go away, after blinking and shaking my head she was still there. Yes, I have seen things first hand, not just one time. I like takeing my girl to graveyards for picnics. Sometimes we will walk them in the night. You see alot of orbs at night....I like to stay away from the dead hours. And I have a question that someone might be able to answer.
With daylight saveing and all does that effect the dead hour?

Golly nailed this imho. i am not going to say yes or no i will however deliberate/go on all day with yas about why they do or do not exist--its all conjecture and raw emotion twisting our thought patterns i think. if we do get a glimpse of the other side, another D, another reality or another plane, if you like, it effects our experiences/thoughts for the rest of our lives on said issue. best bet would be to remain open minded even after a traumatic (or even if not traumatic and just incredible/supernatural) event. this, again, coming from a skeptic that is tuned in pretty damn finely to the 'supernatural' or whatever you want to call it.

heres what i mean--

i sense auras and energy fields and magnetic/gravity fields, as well as been described as slightly autistic (which,btw,is bs. u are either autistic or u arent. there are different types but i think thats what they label u in the medical field of psychiatry when you are tuned-in/hypersensitive to vibrations/energies/substances, and or stimuli of any other sort. i know, for me, its all four of those and then some all rolled into one. as an example, hand me an object and ill show u its center of gravity/lay it on end, almost instantly. it could be autism, and id love to know for sure, but it also might or might not have anything to do with the pediatrician who cut me out of my moms womb while i was grey/blue and barely alive while the cord strangled me and thought id never make it saying (even throughout childhood as i continued to see him for various ailments i suffered as a kid) that i was an "extremely sensitive" individual. again, apparent to him even directly after/durng birth. if this has anything to do with it i do not know--just trying to add as much info as i have and hope others out there can relate/fill in the blanks'comment--im stil pretty fascinated by the whole thing seeing as i cant talk to or see dead people persay nor can i willingly communicate with them or hear voices of any kind. i just 'sense' presences or beings, be it imaginary or real. i can tell if u enter my presence and dont have to even look. i measure the vibes in the air. unwillingly. its REAL fuckin bizzare. and haunting/annoying in that folks dont realize it and my supernatural hearing abilities show me peoples true colors (i hear what i want but i hear it all and have to select what i want from the slew of noise around me. if i catch a 'cap' or 'him' etc i automatically relate it to me and usually when i continue to listen in, i am correct--theyre talkin about me lol but u get used to it and dont say anything usually out of the pure fact that those around me will label me noid dillusional or nosey (usuallly its nosey unless im wrong about it and they werent talkin about me to begin with

i guess im still on the wall about it, but, its really hard to be afraid after all ive seen and had to live through.

did i mention i have a photographic memory of events that happened before memories are supposed to exist? age 1-3 are clear as day while 4-11 for example are near impossible to recollect? i had a bunch of traumatic events happen in this time, however, so could just be PTSD. dunno.

Over 100,000,000,000 people have lived and died on this planet since the dawn of mankind (roughly). I find it hard to believe that there are 100 billion ghosts running around, or in some after life, or whatever. Does that mean it can't be true? No. I just personally don't find it very reasonable, and since there is zero scientific proof for such existence, I highly doubt it. We can record, measure and know so many things about the universe, from quantum particles to super clusters of galaxies 100's of billions of light years across. This is all observable and recordable. Do we see and understand 100% of reality? Of course not. However, something as close to us as "ghosts" seem to be should be recordable if it can be experienced.

Human experience with "ghosts" is anecdotal. People tell you it is real, because what they perceived seemed real, yet it cannot be captured via any instruments. Perception, as everybody here should know quite well, is a highly variable thing. I have had dreams that seemed quite real. That doesn't make them so. Relying on visual and audio inputs alone, with no ability to record those visions and sounds, is unreliable at best.

I do not believe there is such a thing as "paranormal". I believe that everything that can occur in the universe is all that can occur in the universe. If something is "outside" of it, then that simply expands the definition of the universe to fit whatever is outside, because the universe is everything. Every possible state of matter and energy encompasses all of reality. There can be no paranormal, because that assumes a state that is outside of reality. It is basically a term to describe the impossible.

So no I do not believe in ghosts hehe.

Was sitting in dolls gmas house which I was told
all the time by doll and her gma that it was really haunted.
So was sitting in the kitchen and doll was vacuuming
and all the sudden heard this big ass stomp.
Like someone jumped up and slammed down on the floor.
So we both yelled the same time wtf was that.
She finished then I went to put the vacuum away
and laid it on top of this toy battleship.
Thought in my head man if i laid this here growing up woulda got it.
All the sudden same shit this time I felt it in my feet like it was right beside me.

Yes, definitely. Makes sense to me because I believe in parallels. Not only have I seen and experienced but my mom and step-father witnessed a parallel of me walk in their house (when I was a teenager living at home). Didn't see the ghost or parallel or whatever you wanna call it but heard it come through both back doors at 3am and grab munchies and go to my room and shut the door. Just thought it was me, thinking, "well there he comes after getting high all night........again." Then phone rang with me on the other line letting them know I'm on my way home. No I do not believe in ghosts. We are just mounds of flesh and bone. I don't have any reservations with the idea that we all just live then die and then nothing. No pergatory, no inferno, no paradiso. As for what others have seen, I would be willing to suggest that some people allow their minds to see things that are not there. I guess it is a similar effect to what a placebo does to those willing to believe that they are being heal/treated.

cap ~~ confusion's prince ~~ Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 4,559	so when u guys hear a bump in the nite, you grab your ectoplasmic recog' handbook, and not your .22? haha i only bring it up b/c i was takin a 3am shit last nite and heard a rustling outside the door/down the hall. i am the only one who was awake and residing on this floor currently, and my 1st thought was "fuck! damn ghosts,,,eat my lead!" i had my big knife on me but turns out it was prolly a rat/mouse cuz the place was pretty empty (pinched a loaf and flung the door open knife in grip and saw the stairway motion detector light had been triggered! only no humanity or ghostly beings ) oh well, maybe next time itll be more exciting. ill make sure to have my 22 on me tho this time Golly nailed this imho. i am not going to say yes or no i will however deliberate/go on all day with yas about why they do or do not exist--its all conjecture and raw emotion twisting our thought patterns i think. if we do get a glimpse of the other side, another D, another reality or another plane, if you like, it effects our experiences/thoughts for the rest of our lives on said issue. best bet would be to remain open minded even after a traumatic (or even if not traumatic and just incredible/supernatural) event. this, again, coming from a skeptic that is tuned in pretty damn finely to the 'supernatural' or whatever you want to call it. heres what i mean-- i sense auras and energy fields and magnetic/gravity fields, as well as been described as slightly autistic (which,btw,is bs. u are either autistic or u arent. there are different types but i think thats what they label u in the medical field of psychiatry when you are tuned-in/hypersensitive to vibrations/energies/substances, and or stimuli of any other sort. i know, for me, its all four of those and then some all rolled into one. as an example, hand me an object and ill show u its center of gravity/lay it on end, almost instantly. it could be autism, and id love to know for sure, but it also might or might not have anything to do with the pediatrician who cut me out of my moms womb while i was grey/blue and barely alive while the cord strangled me and thought id never make it saying (even throughout childhood as i continued to see him for various ailments i suffered as a kid) that i was an "extremely sensitive" individual. again, apparent to him even directly after/durng birth. if this has anything to do with it i do not know--just trying to add as much info as i have and hope others out there can relate/fill in the blanks'comment--im stil pretty fascinated by the whole thing seeing as i cant talk to or see dead people persay nor can i willingly communicate with them or hear voices of any kind. i just 'sense' presences or beings, be it imaginary or real. i can tell if u enter my presence and dont have to even look. i measure the vibes in the air. unwillingly. its REAL fuckin bizzare. and haunting/annoying in that folks dont realize it and my supernatural hearing abilities show me peoples true colors (i hear what i want but i hear it all and have to select what i want from the slew of noise around me. if i catch a 'cap' or 'him' etc i automatically relate it to me and usually when i continue to listen in, i am correct--theyre talkin about me lol but u get used to it and dont say anything usually out of the pure fact that those around me will label me noid dillusional or nosey (usuallly its nosey unless im wrong about it and they werent talkin about me to begin with sounds like im nutso, i know. its all good ) same goes for electronics that give off white noise. im like a god damn blood hound with tv sets i go nuts if theres a vcr or tv on at night thats not turned up loud enough to block out the noise the light makes or the light the noise makes idk LOL and no, im not just spun, i actually lose this sensitivity more and more as i age. as a child i actually saw things move such as my bigboy bank that used to come alive nightly along with my plastic dinosaurs n shit. fucked up yes, real--well, unless big boy is some ancient god that i dont know about, id say its just the mind playin tricks. who knows tho, please post if ya do peace ps- no, never ever am i 'scared'--ive seen the light and the pits of endless darkness alike. theres no demon or spirit too unruly, disguisting, outrageous or scary as the humanity i have witnessed first or second hand throughout my short time in this miserable 3d plane. not to mention all the 'supernatural' events that have shaped my being....or havent shaped......one or the other i guess im still on the wall about it, but, its really hard to be afraid after all ive seen and had to live through. did i mention i have a photographic memory of events that happened before memories are supposed to exist? I find it hard to believe that there are 100 billion ghosts running around, or in some after life, or whatever. Does that mean it can't be true? No. I just personally don't find it very reasonable, and since there is zero scientific proof for such existence, I highly doubt it. We can record, measure and know so many things about the universe, from quantum particles to super clusters of galaxies 100's of billions of light years across. This is all observable and recordable. Do we see and understand 100% of reality? Of course not. However, something as close to us as "ghosts" seem to be should be recordable if it can be experienced. Human experience with "ghosts" is anecdotal. People tell you it is real, because what they perceived seemed real, yet it cannot be captured via any instruments. Perception, as everybody here should know quite well, is a highly variable thing. I have had dreams that seemed quite real. That doesn't make them so. Relying on visual and audio inputs alone, with no ability to record those visions and sounds, is unreliable at best. I do not believe there is such a thing as "paranormal". I believe that everything that can occur in the universe is all that can occur in the universe. If something is "outside" of it, then that simply expands the definition of the universe to fit whatever is outside, because the universe is everything. Every possible state of matter and energy encompasses all of reality. There can be no paranormal, because that assumes a state that is outside of reality. It is basically a term to describe the impossible. So no I do not believe in ghosts hehe.

Was sitting in dolls gmas house which I was told all the time by doll and her gma that it was really haunted. So was sitting in the kitchen and doll was vacuuming and all the sudden heard this big ass stomp. Like someone jumped up and slammed down on the floor. So we both yelled the same time wtf was that. She finished then I went to put the vacuum away and laid it on top of this toy battleship. Thought in my head man if i laid this here growing up woulda got it. All the sudden same shit this time I felt it in my feet like it was right beside me. The reality is that we have only scratched the surface of understanding the brain.
