I'm really enjoying your pix Klinnband!!!! ![]() I like your baking sheet of perlite, great idea for cakes. I was wondering, do you fruit your cakes with the casings? I find cakes do better in as close to 100% humidity chamber, whereas, my cased substrates perform better at lower RH like 90%. You can maybe consider using that perlite pan in the bottom of the GH for your cakes, then keep your casings up and away at a different RH from the cakes. I only say that because I noticed how wet your casings looked. But of course I could be totally mistaken and off course lol. Tell a little about set up if you feel comfortable doing so. |

Sterility being it's own animal and has nothing to to at all with "albino". For some reason though there is this huge misconception that Albino also means sterile. Anyway, I don't mean to tell you how to post but please keep in mind there will be future generations coming here that will search using the word albino. We have a responsibility to them to keep history in it's correct place. Thanks for sharing with us and keep up the good work!

it's only their name if we accept it. i re-named pf's strain the pfc or classic and it stuck. i say we do the same in this case, re-name it. perhaps mexi suntops would be more accurate

I have a mex-cub print and a mex albino marked print. I'm guessing that if I did a side by side the fruits would appear very similar. I agree about a rename, because as Chosen One said, there is a true albino strain and it could cause some confusion. I like the mexi-suntops......like those pix shobimono showed of them. Other suggestions; mexican saucers mexican lights mexican blondes mexican mexican mexican gold |

I like the Mexi-Suntop name from Hippie! Sorry, I didn't mean to sound harsh or start any conflicts. As a long time cultivator of the albino I've found it a bit frustrating when searching for info regarding it. So many are mis-informed when it comes to this truly unique var. I really care about this community a lot. I'm sure anything we can do to keep the admins jobs a little easier is much appreciated. Klinn, I really do enjoy your'e posts and I hope I have not offended you in any way. If you are interested in albino's just PM me and I'll hook you up. The more people that take interest the better! Keep up the good work and peace to everyone!

i got a mexi-cub print once, from ralphster's I believe, and made a lc. Almost all of the fruits were very white from this substrain. Not long after that is when Ralph started offering the Mex-Albino. I would think that if you got a multi-spore print/syringe from these you would likely get a strain that is not so white seeing as how what I got came from a standard mexi-cub. BTW, I love Mexi-cubs. Def one of my fav strains. |

The set up for the cakes is a brown rice flower that was put on a sheet pan of perlite. Then I took a old racking system and rapped it in 2mm plastic to allow the humidity to build. For when the cakes were done collinizing I used DEC to keep the cakes as moist as possible. I think wide mouth half pints work better then narrow mouth half pints in this experence. Then wide mouth allow for faster collinization and quicker fruiting. The moisture content in the narrow half pints tend to build at the bottom so the majority of the fruits end up at the bottom of the cake. But if you transfer the cake in to a tray with a vermiculite casing, moisture is well distributed through out the cake and you end up with even fruiting except for the occasional fruit that is under the cake. But other than that it is a strait forward setup with an easy strain to be successful. |

Where is the smiley for foot in my mouth? In order to keep the info accurate and in it's correct place I must admit I left out a detail in my know it all post . There is also a certain degree of molecular reflection as well. Caused by the collection of minerals, water and chemicals. Otherwise the little shits would be invisible. Thus concludes this tutorial on the reactions between photons and fungi. Stepping down off my podium now and going away..............................=)
